The updated Canon 16-35mm F2.8L III offers some incredible performance wide open at 16mm. It's one of the sharpest wide angle zoom lens options on the market. Many of the issues such as coma, chromatic aberration and corner sharpness have all been addressed in this update and the results are...

Not the widest-angle in class, No image stabilization, Pretty pricey to buy
This is a lens that may replace a prime lens in your kit (raises hand). Or, perhaps several of them. Immediately after becoming available, the 16-35mm f/4L IS lens took on such an important role in my kit that I've been contemplating the purchase of a second copy of it ever since.
Canon 16-35mm L lenses have an enviable reputation for quality and we now have the latest incarnation as the Mk III version. With a useful f/2.8 constant aperture and ultra-wide 16mm focal length this would be a versatile lens for much general work, including architecture, weddings and reportage.
After testing this lens you would want to shout ‘finally!’. It took three versions of the 16-35 mm f/2.8 lens in order to get the proof Canon is able to design such an instrument.

solid casing,, excellent image quality in the frame centre,, very good image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor,, good image quality on the edge of full frame,, imperceptible longitudinal chromatic aberration,, lack of serious problems with lateral chromatic aberration,, moderate spherical...

a bit too high coma for the longer end of focal range,, monstrous vignetting on full frame.
The new Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM is an outstanding but also very expensive ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that will appeal most to landscape, reportage and wedding photographers looking for a well-built, weather-proof optic with the main advantage of a fast and constant f/2.8 aperture for...
I am a wide angle photographer, I Love Capturing the surroundings in a very symmetrical way, so I purchased this after market 14mm, its a hit and miss not so happy, I also have the canon 16-35mm 4.0 that I liked.
I have owned every version of this Canon lens and this newest version is an ENTIRELY different animal. I am floored by how well it performs. I used to cringe at the thought of having to shoot a double page spread with the Mk II.
This is an incredible lens. I haven't had the opportunity to try the previous-generation models. Even at 16mm, the vignetting is very muted, and what little there is adds to the look of the photos. I'm extremely pleased.

Fantastic lens, incredibly sharp all the way to the edge. Vignette is there on the wide end but it's totally manageable with a Canon body and/or software like Lightroom. One of my favorite lenses I've ever used and stays on my Canon body most of the time.#sweepstakes
Was looking for a wide angle lens, after reading the reviews, and doing some research, decided to get this one. Canon makes a great lens and this lens continues to demonstrate this! the f/2.8 is amazing! Now to get a full sized sensor camera body so I can see just how wide this lens really is!
This is a great lens. I previously had a 3rd party 14mm for wide angle use that I rarely used because of poor picture quality. First day using this, photos were colorful and sharp corner to corner.
Ive been wanting this lens for a long time. The holiday sale was inspiration to pull the trigger and make the investment now. Im so happy I did!I used it during a holiday party and there was no visible distortion, people look beautiful, and I could go around the room getting large happy groups of...
Great lens. Fast, 2.8 aperture and brilliant colors.
This lens is awesome! I use it for super tight spaces or when I want a grand photo! Of course if you shoot low aperature it’s not as good since the lowest it goes is 2.8, but for higher FStops it’s awesome
I picked up this lens a few weeks ago, having decided to sell a Canon EF 11-24 and having previously owned both the previous version of the 16-35 f/2.8 and the f/4 version (more compact for travel).
