An amazing lens- quality of photos is unparalleled, light weight for such a long lens, and properties are really useful. The lens is very hand holdable which makes it useful in situations where setting up a tripod is not possible or there isn’t enough time to set one up and still get the shot.

I have rented the 600m is ii on many occasions, loved the images but this lens in next level. First and foremost, the weight is ridiculously light. I did my first 5 days on vacation and carried the lens on several 5 mile photo hikes, it was awesome.

I've always wanted a long lens for wildlife photography. I'm older & was unsure if I could handle the weight of the 600 & 800 mm lenses. So when this new version came out & was lighter, I decided this was the "one". It's not so heavy that I can't hand hold it.

I got my 600mm III last week and took it out for a 3 mile hike to shoot some birds. The weight and balance are very nice, it is still a LARGE lens so know what you are buying. That said, the focus is amazingly fast, and the pictures on my 5D-IV are very sharp as you would expect for one of Canons...

I have bought this lens in April and just could'nt believe how light it was and the perfect balance it has. It makes the old 600II feel like it has twice the weight of the new one. In good light the lens is sharp and a joy to use.

This lens is amazingly fast focusing and super sharp!! I am a small woman and it is not too heavy for me. I can actually hand hold it for short periods of time!! Canon hit it out of the park on this one!!

i bought this a month ago... it has gone past my expectations for the fair and somewhat cheap price. overall this product is a must if you are starting photography.

  I traded up my 500mm lens and am very pleased so far - especially as it's no heavier. It also comes in a well padded soft case which is more practical than the hard case of my 500mm lens. Results so far have been very good and I'm confident will be excellent as I get to know it.
