Danby Designer 1.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave

I only chose this model because I needed a small microwave to fit in my new custom kitchen. The microwave box was made too small, and this was the only attractive microwave that was small enough to fit.

I bought the Black 1.1 cubic foot version for my small office kitchen, mostly because the price was right. 10 employees use it several times a day to reheat their lunch meals, heat water for tea and coffee etc. Not super high power, but it's been very reliable and seems to heat pretty evenly.

Looks and works nice. Keep stainless steel cleaner and polish handy for fingerprints. That's ok with me because it makes sure I keep it clean.

  Finger Prints Show A Lot

Bought this for use during a kitchen renovation. It fit our improv kitchen on the dining room buffet and did the job. The door latch is stiff and hard to operate one-handed. That might resolve over time, but it is the reason for only four stars.

This does everything I hoped for but I do wish one could see the "timer" minutes and seconds as they countdown instead of going back to the clock time.

We were in need of a microwave but didn't want to spend a lot of money because the kitchen will be remodeled this year and we'll have a microwave over the stove. This was the perfect solution for us. Its a nice size, holds dinner plates and heats food nicely. And, does not break the bank!

This microwave oven was exactly what I was looking for at the pricepoint. I use it mostly for frozen meals and to heat water for coffee and tea. For me, it has a lot of value for the money.

  I Do Not Have Any Cons

The number panel doesn't work (can't set the clock or use any numbers except the number "1"). I cut down the box and tossed the pacakagimh before I tested it out, otherwise I'd return it. The "add minute" button works so we do have a way to operate it, I suppose. Ugh...

I like it. It doesn't work well on unlevel surfaces, but other than that its great.

I really wanted a stainless steel type of microwave for my apartment and saw this once. I works great. The reviews had me nervous but I got it and it’s been great for my 6 months of owning it so far. No issues at all.
