A big silver grey notebook from Dell was their latest offering to land on my desk. A large screen and a surprisingly small keyboard almost lost with lots of free space all around it may not sound that encouraging for you to read on.
Dell's Inspiron series laptops has been one of the most selected mainstream laptops due to its affordability and renowned excellent after sales support - a full 12 month of on-site service.

Excellent after-sales service, Slim and sleek appearance, Full 104 keys keyboard for those who requires a numpad, Decent cooling performance

Mediocre build quality, Monitor suffers from backlight bleeding, Limited monitor viewing angle, Battery drains pretty fast, Speaker doesn't goes well with music that has a lot of bass
In terms of raw performance, this budget laptop is pretty hard to beat. This pick has an 6th Generation Intel i5 quad-core processor which might not be the best CPU on the market, but certainly gives you great performance at this price point.
The mid-range Inspiron 2-in-1s are worth scoping out.
The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 (5580) features Intel’s new 8th Gen Whiskey Lake CPUs and lets you pick and choose from a range of storage and memory options, so you’ll be able to tailor it to your working requirements.
The Core i7 processor and AMD graphics make this a powerful all-rounder, and it's got good looks and reasonable build quality. The keyboard isn't great, though, and the Inspiron's screen lacks resolution and quality.

+
Core i7 processor, Dedicated AMD graphics, Smart exterior design, Decent build quality

Low screen resolution and quality, Middling battery life, Mediocre keyboard
: Dell's Inspiron 15 5568 is one of the faster big-screen hybrids around, but it's far from perfect
The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 is a capable laptop, offering strong performance for the price, above-average battery life and a well-made chassis with a comfy, soft-touch finish. This notebook will definitely do a fine job with day-to-day activities, but the default 1366 x 768 display provides dull,...
I have to hand it to Dell: In the category of "$500 laptops," the veteran manufacturer came pretty close to nailing a well-rounded machine with few major compromises. That's more impressive than it sounds. If there's anything I've learned in reviewing low-end laptops, it's that compromise is key.
Dell's Inspiron 15 5000 series is the bigger-screened cousin to its Inspiron 14 5000 series. The former is outfitted with a spacious 15.6-inch display while the latter has a 14-incher. I'll review the Inspiron 15 model 5547 here, and you can read my colleague Jon L.
This computer, in the form sold and received was an unbeatable value. I tried other sites including Dell - could not beat the price for this computer.
What you expect from a value laptop. I did install extra memory and SSD drive which made it super fast
If it only made ice-cream!

My wife chose this laptop because it had a conventional keyboard &mouse pad centered evenly in the frame with a HD display and plenty of power for photo and video editing. I started setting it up for her and couldn't let it go!

Not much on the con side. The week link is obviously the hard drive R/W speed, although there's probably not another non-SSD out there that will be faster. It would be nice if one of the quick function buttons were preassigned to switch the Mouse pad on and off instead of Fn+F3, but that is miner.

Easy install and faster than my old HP. So far so good after a month.
-
-
Little bit heavier than I would like

+
Good laptop for everyday use

Works okay for everyday gaming needs, however wont work well for anything too intense
This laptop has been slow since I received it. I turned it on around 10 minutes ago and I am still waiting for it to let me open the windows menu. It’s currently running 58 processes which will not help what so ever.
We got this laptop for the school and it serves great so far.
I bought this a month ago and I’m so happy for the price I paid. Great features, hardware and software included..!!

Easy instructions to follow with initial set up good value for money Light weight and easy to carry I previously used a small DELL laptop and was very satisfied, so stuck with the same brand, just went to a larger one.
