A big silver grey notebook from Dell was their latest offering to land on my desk. A large screen and a surprisingly small keyboard almost lost with lots of free space all around it may not sound that encouraging for you to read on.
Dell's Inspiron series laptops has been one of the most selected mainstream laptops due to its affordability and renowned excellent after sales support - a full 12 month of on-site service.

+
Excellent after-sales service, Slim and sleek appearance, Full 104 keys keyboard for those who requires a numpad, Decent cooling performance
-
-
Mediocre build quality, Monitor suffers from backlight bleeding, Limited monitor viewing angle, Battery drains pretty fast, Speaker doesn't goes well with music that has a lot of bass
Our hands-on, lab-tested review of Dell's affordable Inspiron 5000 2-in-1 series laptops.
In terms of raw performance, this budget laptop is pretty hard to beat. This pick has an 6th Generation Intel i5 quad-core processor which might not be the best CPU on the market, but certainly gives you great performance at this price point.
The Core i7 processor and AMD graphics make this a powerful all-rounder, and it's got good looks and reasonable build quality. The keyboard isn't great, though, and the Inspiron's screen lacks resolution and quality.
-
+
Core i7 processor, Dedicated AMD graphics, Smart exterior design, Decent build quality
-
-
Low screen resolution and quality, Middling battery life, Mediocre keyboard
: Dell's Inspiron 15 5568 is one of the faster big-screen hybrids around, but it's far from perfect
This Dell Inspiron is a great laptop for the price. Bezel is thin and processor/memory/hard drive all function well together. My only issue is one that others are seeing as well and that is the slow download speed. This is a simple fix. Click on your START button and search for "Remove Programs".
I have to say this laptop is the best ive ever owned! The cpu is fast and can handle multiple tasks at one time. The 1tb hard drive may not be an ssd but it still boots up in 20s amd shuts down in 10s. Silence...is my favorite part, 4 hours into some multitasking and i still cant hear the fans.
Haven't had this computer for long, but I spent alot of time researching before purchase. For the money, this is the best Dell laptop you can buy. Everything else in the same price range has an older processor. The touchscreen is nice, though I don't use it much. LOVE the backlit keyboard.
Problem 1: The first time I charged this laptop completely and put it to sleep it didn't wake up at all. I googled it to find out that you need to get rid of the residual charge by pressing the power button for 20 seconds.Problem 2: As others have mentioned the keyboard is hard to read.
Good speed, good capacity, keyboard OK, very good value. Drive activity/power led is in a really stupid place -- not visible. No led on num lock, not even sure why there is one ... number pad is single purpose entry, just numbers. Why a num lock is even needed is a puzzle.
Received yesterday. Since 6pm we have been installing Windows updates. The machine is installing YET ANOTHER major update this morning. Every time it finishes, we get the message, "you're all set", and then when we check 10-15 minutes later, yet another update is ready.
You can judge the specs yourself, and those specs at this price point is certainly a big reason why this laptop is a great value. But beyond that, there are some really neat things about this laptop:- The screen hinge puts the keyboard at an angle, and it makes typing so much easier.
The dell computer is worth the money due to the great apps you get with dell and not with other computers. The dell is easy to use If you have a problemor cannot navigate, the dell will show you and a great tech people to help! I would recommend a dell to anyone!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Bad HDD, loud sound coming from the HDD and running at 100% off the bat. RPM should be 5200 so it shouldn’t run at such capacity and its randomly blacking out while using it. Blacks out and then takes me to my log in.
I did a lot of research on what best fits my needs (work and some school on the side, as well as browing and playing videos in general). I cross-shopped different brands, and I decided to go with this since a lot of the hardware/software seemed to be better than others in the same category/price...
