The $650 Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Touch may not be the flashiest laptop on the block, but it has several things going for it, including a colorful full-HD screen, an IR camera and a brushed-aluminum palm rest. Those are some pretty nice amenities for a $650 laptop.
Dell's Inspiron series laptops has been one of the most selected mainstream laptops due to its affordability and renowned excellent after sales support - a full 12 month of on-site service.

Excellent after-sales service, Slim and sleek appearance, Full 104 keys keyboard for those who requires a numpad, Decent cooling performance

Mediocre build quality, Monitor suffers from backlight bleeding, Limited monitor viewing angle, Battery drains pretty fast, Speaker doesn't goes well with music that has a lot of bass
In terms of raw performance, this budget laptop is pretty hard to beat. This pick has an 6th Generation Intel i5 quad-core processor which might not be the best CPU on the market, but certainly gives you great performance at this price point.
I have to hand it to Dell: In the category of "$500 laptops," the veteran manufacturer came pretty close to nailing a well-rounded machine with few major compromises.
The mid-range Inspiron 2-in-1s are worth scoping out.
Ultimately, the Dell Inspiron 15 5568 shares many of the same flaws as its nearest competitor, the 14.1in Lenovo Yoga 700 . It’s incredibly fast and has plenty of power, but its poor display, problematic keyboard and underwhelming battery life make it one huge compromise when it comes to everything...
"... unless you can see an obvious use for its convertible design, you’d be better off saving some money and opting for the “normal” version."
A titan of a notebook in every way - big on features, big on performance, and big on price.
Fastest Notebook
I have to hand it to Dell: In the category of "$500 laptops," the veteran manufacturer came pretty close to nailing a well-rounded machine with few major compromises. That's more impressive than it sounds. If there's anything I've learned in reviewing low-end laptops, it's that compromise is key.
I think its a really decent laptop but it wasnt what I was looking for so I got the Dell 7559 instead which was way more powerful but I truly miss the facial recognition login with windows hello :/ and I did a video on this on my youtube channel just search "Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series i5565" and...
I bought two laptops for my grandson's masters degree. One was a Mac at $ 1500 & this Dell at $500. He told me to return the Dell unopened. I am sure the Dell would have been fine, but grandpa has big bucks & he knows it. God Bless, Joe
What you expect from a value laptop. I did install extra memory and SSD drive which made it super fast
If it only made ice-cream!

My wife chose this laptop because it had a conventional keyboard &mouse pad centered evenly in the frame with a HD display and plenty of power for photo and video editing. I started setting it up for her and couldn't let it go!

Not much on the con side. The week link is obviously the hard drive R/W speed, although there's probably not another non-SSD out there that will be faster. It would be nice if one of the quick function buttons were preassigned to switch the Mouse pad on and off instead of Fn+F3, but that is miner.
I bought this computer by the end of 2016. After 6 months using this, i am so disappointed about this Dell's product. It has a fast start up but the screen is really bad. The Brightness/Contrast of the screen creates lots of trouble for me when designing.
I am very impressed with this computer. As an academic it does all that I want. It is fast, easy to use and reliable.
Excellent specification but plastic body feels really cheap.
I bought this laptop mainly for my photography course because for the price it had the best graphics card. It's a shame that the monitor really lets it down. It's super picky with the viewing angles and you never really know if the colours are being reproduced correctly, because the contrasts always...
I brought this laptop as a replacement for my old one and for the price I glad I made this choice. It's fast easy to use with excellent graphics and sound quality.
