Focal Spirit Professional Headphones

So why then, do I prefer the Spirit Professional headphones? Maybe as I age, I get choosier, or maybe I just to feel challenged. Whatever. All I can say is that I just kept reaching for the Professional when I wasn’t in testing mode.

Focal is one of the most powerful companies in the loudspeaker market, making mainly domestic hi-fi speakers and car audio components. Everything is produced in France under one roof, or rather several to be more precise.

French company Focal is well known in the hi-fi world and also for its studio monitors. It says that its new Spirit Professional headphones benefit from their 34 years manufacturing speaker drivers and loudspeakers.

A little over a year ago, the French brand Focal, well-known for its range of speakers, introduced its first pair of headphones: Spirit One. Although portable and fairly nice, they weren't really apt for use in a home studio.

I never thought I could lock a mix with solely a headphone reference. Until ofcourse I heard these! In the studio or on the move I never leave my focals behind now! These are like the NS 10M, excellent translation. They are super comfortable and not harsh at all, perfect for long sessions of mixing.

Nice sound. Good separation. Comfortable fit. Two audio cords, a short one for traveling and a long one for home listening. Price was nice too!

Thought this was quality product. However the left side extending "arm" in the headband cracked and is going to completely fall off due to normal wear and tear use. Very weak point in the design. Not impressed on bit and very unhappy.

Pure sound. I also own AKG Q701 and have owned the K702 headphones. The sound on these in comparison is more pure. These headphones do not have the three dimensional soundstage of the AKG's but they do a great job of blocking outside noise and do a better job at presenting the actual sounds.

I have to give the Spirit Pros 5 stars as they sound amazingly true and I love the fact that I can get great mixes out of headphones. I'm on my second pair and the only gripe that I have is the durability of the head bar as it keeps cracking at each end.

Very smooth and precise sound. Sound isolation works perfectly - when no music is playing I can barely hear my colleagues but when I listen to music there are no trace of sound (noise) from outside headphones. Listening to old songs - it's like hearing them for first time!

Excellent sound to my liking in a closed can. If there won't be any headband issue, it's definitely a keeper!

These headphones have a beutiful and very detailed sound. Very suitable for general music listening. Very good for recording and tracking, both for engineer and the performer. Excellent isolation.However, the headband cracked right after 2 years after purchase....

Good Product with excellent sound

They are the best Pro headphones I own! You can hear every little detail as if you were sitting in the studio itself.
