Frigidaire FFEC3025US 30 Inch Electric Smoothtop Cooktop

I modified my kitchen to be Ada compatible and replaced a range with a cooktop and wall oven setup. I was quite pleased with how things turned out especially after I tried the quick boil burner on the cooktop. Fast and hot. Much more responsive than the glass cooktop on our range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Front right burner gets extremely hot which is great for a quick boil, however, even at a medium setting is way too hot to cook other food on. Needs to be turned to low. Other burners barely get hot unless you put them to 7 or higher.

We like that the knobs are water tight. And the installer was great.

The double burner function is very useful. Heats liquids quickly!

We replaced a 20 year old GE with this Frigidaire and it works better because it has an eye for boiling that really puts out the heat. I wish we could have found the speckled color of the old GE but didn’t see one. This solid black shows spots more easily. If you clean after each use it works well.

I recently remodeled my kitchen and was needing to upgrade my outdated stovetop. I had other appliances that were Frigidaire brand and was very pleased with them so I gravitated toward this stovetop. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and am very pleased with it so far.

For ordinary, basic cooking, including steaming of rice, this cooktop does not simmer at a low-enough temperature! My rice is always dried-out and stuck to the bottom. (I've been making rice on a regular coil-burner stove for 60 years with no such trouble.) Otherwise it's OK.

So far we have been delighted with the new cooktop. We had a fridgidaire cooktop before that lasted over 50 years and was still working great but could not get replacement parts anymore. This unit is easy to use and cleans up with ease.
