Fujifilm GF 23mm f/4 R LM WR Lens

The GF 23mm f4 R LM WR is another high-quality lens for Fujifilm's medium-format system. If you don't need to go quite so wide, then the 32-64mm zoom is a more logical choice, otherwise the GF 23mm is a no-brainer for landscape and architecture photographers.

This is a beautiful lens in every way. It is sharp, perfectly contrasty, appears to be flare-proof and is built with a quality that rivals the best of my old Zeiss and Sekor primes. I am impressed at how Fujifilm has vaulted itself to the top of the lens maker heap in a short period of time.

I do like this lens, and it complements the 32-64mm f/4 and 110mm f/2 quite nicely. Build quality seems to be equivalent to the 110mm f/2, i.e., very good. Size and weight is reasonable, and I would rate overall image quality worthy of the asking price.

The image and build quality of the GF 23mm f/4 R LM WR Lens is superb. The amount of details is stunning. DOF is outstanding - it is very sharp from 1.5m to infinity at f16, and from 1m to infinity at f22. Highly recommend to landscape photographers.

I like wide angle lenses so this was the second lens I purchase after the 45mm f2.8 for the GFX-50 camera. The Fuji GF23mm f4 is well corrected, very little distortion and yes, extremely sharp. As good optically as the 43mm f4.5 Mamiya 6x7 lens from the film era. Heavy but, not excessively so.

Not a lightweight lens, but well made and produces sharp images.

SHARP!!!

Good Points: This lens is wide. In full frame/35mm terms it's 18mm, so it has a wide angle of view. But while a FF 18mm (or even more so a 12mm ASPC) lens will throw far off objects ts into the distance, the GF23mm. Familiar with the Fuji X100 series or 23mm XF lenses?

An absolutely essential lens for anyone wanting to get fantastic Wide Angle images. Excellent for Landscape or Seascape images etc. Excellent quality of images, pin sharp.

*Some background information first*I am using the GF 23 mm lens with Fujifilm GFX 50R. The combined hardware, GFX50R + GF 233mm is light and compact enough to be easy to travel with. The attached images are from a trip to Europe.
