After the test the situation is very clear. You get a long list of pros and just one flaw, and, additionally, it's a flaw to be expected. The tested lens broke the latest resolution record and not just barely so but by a very healthy margin.

I wanted to get my first prime following the metadata showing my most used focal length was in and around 18mm I thought this would be the best bet. Other reviews said it's super sharp and very quiet focusing etc. and I can't stress enough how sharp this lens is.

This lenses is very sharp! Getting some really great detail from it. Only thing I dislike is the aperture ring isn't as firm as I like, prefer the f2 lenses for firmness, not so easily knocked. Lense quality is fab!
