There's not much bad to say about the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS—it's one of the best 55-200mm lenses we've seen, but it is on the pricey side.
-
+
Edge-to-edge sharpness wide open. Wider aperture than competing lenses. Optical stabilization system. Sturdy build.
-
-
Pricey. Lacks weather sealing.
The XF 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS is a relatively portable, well-made telephoto zoom that delivers consistently fine images. Focusing is essentially silent and reasonably fast, at least with static subjects, and the optical image stabilisation works very well.
-
+
Impressive image quality at all settings, Exceptionally low chromatic aberration, Minimal distortion or vignetting visible in normal use ( via software correction), Essentially silent autofocus, Very effective image stabilization, Convenient on-lens aperture ring, Solid construction

Images can look a little soft on the pixel level (due to software correction of pincushion distortion), Autofocus not as fast as its peers, Expensive
In April 2013, this 55–200mm f/3.5–4.8 OIS zoom ($699, street) joined the Fujinon 18–55mm f/2.8–4 zoom ($699, street) to round out a relatively fast and useful XF-series optical system for Fujifilm’s impressive X-series of ILCs. How good is it?
Handling and features This telephoto zoom lens for the Fuji X-Pro1 camera provides a field of view equivalent to a 84-305mm lens on a 35mm camera and sports Fujifilm's new linear focusing motor, which promises improved focus speeds and performance.
Zoom lenses like this are a welcome addition to the Fujifilm X-series line-up, providing greater flexibility and convenience than the prime lenses released with the X-Pro1 provide.

+
Excellent performance at 55mm, Low distortion, Good build quality, Very effective optical stabilisation, Fast linear focusing motor

Drop off in sharpness as lens is zoomed towards telephoto, May be a little pricey when compared to equivalent lenses for other systems
I gave up my Fujifilm 18-135 lens for this one. I was hoping it would at least match the quality of the 18-135. I needed just that little extra zoom length etc... I was extremely surprised and pleased that this lens out shown the 18-135 a bit. Both are good lenses.
This is a perfect addition to my camera bag. I have the 18-55 2.8 that came with the camera, and then this to give me some extra reach until I can get the 100-400 lens. Crisp shots, am enjoying the whole Fuji system.
I purchased this lens thinking it'll be as good as a standard kit lens but it exceeded my expectations. I used it on a recent concert and found it's focusing speed on the X-T2 to work fine. Image quality is sharp, build is nice.
This is my third Fuji lens for my X-t2. Really sharp images and great color. This Fuji system is beating my Nikon D500 in images that are keepers. Very happy with the Fuji camera and lenses.
Great piece of kit - wish they had a 22 or 18 to 200 too soon!
Just had my lens a week or so. It is well made, with excellent workmanship. Tack sharp. Very happy with it.
Great lens, really sharp. High quality product. Wish it had aperture numbers printed on but apart from that its great.
Great lens with crystal clear images and exceptional quality.
I have only used this lens for several weeks on an X-T2, but I am really impressed. This is no typical "kit" lens. Image quality is really, really good and the OIS performance is amazing. Bokeh is pleasant and not distracting in the least.
