GE Cafe 30 Inch Slide-in Gas Range

Man did I search for this appliance. Went into our 2nd home. I wanted gas and especially 2 ovens. Who ever designed the eyes and center configuration for flat cooking hit the nail on the head

Really get range over all. This is our second Cafe range and we opted for the double this time in our new house. We have it for six months with no issues. Highly recommended.

Great Range. (we purchased it locally). Looks amazing. We now have to upgrade the kitchen to match this beauty. Front two burners put out a lot of heat. So much so that it may be an issue, if you have a low hanging microwave above it.

Great value, looks wonderful. Top oven hard to control temperature and hard to remove and check on items bottom oven.

We have been fortunate with our range-sorry to read the previous reviewer's experience. Haven't noticed problems with excessive fan noise and find this is a pleasure to cook on. Not only does it look great in our kitchen, but we love the true simmer, power boil options.

This is a difficult review to write since we would give the design and concept of this range five (5) stars easily. We have had several problems with this range from the original problem of the burners not firing properly to the bottom oven shorting the entire unit (it is LP gas) out and, most...

Oh, boy, how come I did not see all these reviews before buying? The bottom oven won't come on after two years, and we live with the broken light bulb for more than a year. I am now afraid to repair it due to multiple complain about this know problem about the bottom oven.

I think this would be a good oven but it has a critical design flaw. The lower oven has a heat spreader / shield under the bottom of the oven. This heat spreader / shield sits just above the flame spreader and igniter.

Pro: The appearance is stylish and I was very excited to have 2 ovens. The stove tops cooks everything well, no complaints that. Con: The top (smaller) oven burns everything unless the pan is nowhere near the left/right side of the oven where the flame is.

I would not buy this stove again. We've had it 4 years and the ovens both heat very unevenly. This should be a higher end stove but it's really technology from the 1960's with a digital keypad added. I thought the brand GE would be safe to buy but I was wrong.
