Freezer appears to work well. Initially about 24 hours after it got cold it shut down and warmed up. Reset of power restarted it and it has worked fine since. Alarms on door and temp are worthless for older men with minor hearing loss as alarms are very high frequency sounds not heard.
I am so happy to get my new freezer after much waiting from another company who didn't deliver. It surprisingly had lots of room.
Love it ! It's spacious, shelving is well placed, basket is very large, and love that you can see the interior temp. on the external part of the door, along with being able to make adjustments. Also like that you also hear the door actually sealing when you close it.
We previously had a GE freezer from the early 1980's. It finally reached it's limit, over 30 years of use and not one issue. Figured it was time to upgrade! The new one is great, I love the temperature sensor and it is super quiet!
This is the 3rd freezer I have had in a few months and they all did the same thing......made LOUD noise when I shut the door. Sounds like a horn. I gave up and will keep this one. I hope the freezer works like other GE appliances I have had and liked a lot.
I needed an extra freezer to keep overflow, what a surprise! It is much nicer than the one in my kitchen. Great features, nice looking and easy to maintain. I guess I will have to update the one in my kitchen with a similar GE Freezer.
I bought this freezer 2 years ago and I has died. I am told by the repairman that the cost of repairing this unit is the same cost as buying a new one.
Have only had a couple weeks but seems to be a great freezer.
First off, I was impressed with the level of packaging it came in. No way was it getting scratched, dented or otherwise damaged. Once all packaging was removed, the door handle needed to be installed, which was super easy.
I bought this freezer 2 months ago. I love it! wide shelves on the door and an extra drawer near the top for snacks, icecream bars etc. I love the outside door temperature. I can a;ways see if it is working properly! I am buying my daughter one just like it as a surprise!
