GE 1.7 cu. ft. Stainless Steel Over-the-Range Microwave

We had our new microwave installed yesterday. We didn't realize untill we went to use it that we would need a flashlight to operate the control panel. The only feature that is easy to read is the time. The control panel is dark, the writing is very dim. This went unnoticed in the showroom.

Looks good but it's only 1,000 watts. I should have bought a 1,200 watts model.

Easy to install. It's much quieter than my old microwave.

I purchased this to replace a kitchen aid over the range microwave( about 14 years old). Although my other appliances at this point are not GE, this one was the best rated and had the features I wanted, as well as fit the dimensions of my cooking area with the backsplash.

This appliance is considered builder grade when purchasing our new home. We made the choice not to upgrade because in the future we plan on replacing all the appliances with another brand. We think it great for now. We are accustomed to higher end appliances.

A small amount of preparation to install as mounting bracket is of poor design and does not allow mounting with existing roof venting. Had too omit vent extender as it was the exact same size as the existing vent. Probably great for new vent installs. Fill required for proper venting.

I purchased all GE appliances after my home was flooded. The GE Microwave defrosts, heats up, & cooks foods very fast fast. The temperature levels are high so test cooking foods for much shorter times with this GE microwave. The controls are easy to use.

So far the microwave has been awesome. Looks great too.

The microwave is heavy duty and looks great, easy to use and overall is exactly what our family was looking for

Only thing I'd change is black appliance finishes shows everything!!
