Be careful when ordering this. This is way too long for an 8 foot ceiling. I had to get it trimmed down to accommodate a low ceiling (and that was difficult to find someone who could do the job properly.) This is better suited for a 9-10 ceiling height.

I initially loved this island hood, it's the GE profile series, the SS will go with my new GE kitchen appliances. Beware tho when installing the hood, they advise you to temporarily hang the hood from 4 clips in the ceiling support brackets (Step 7).

Very attractive kitchen exhaust hood with plenty of air movement power. Simple controls, nice lights. Could be quieter but this is a matter of nature and not the manufacturer. Installation was a bit demanding, instructions could be better and at times three people are needed.

I have had this range hood for five or more years. It is on an average of two hours a day. It has performed quite well, only a few light bulbs have burned out which is normal and they are easy to change. This unit moves a lot of air and that is what I bought for.

while this vent hood looks great, great features, the installation was very difficult. It would be very helpful if the designers would take an opportunity to actually install this unit themselves. I had the hood installed by a Best Buy professional.

I like fan strenght, my dislike would be its not sturdy enough. Moves, even with attached to main studs. Light settings brightness is also great.

Great product Overall. Pros : Great look. Works great. Cons: Noisy , the buttons could be programmed better. Slow start to high. Explicit ON/OFF.

I love it! It's much quieter than my old one. It is lower than I would like but it's as high as it would go with our ceilings.
