The Gorillapod really is a handy tool to have in your photographic bag. In some cases, it won’t actually replace a full size tripod, but as a handy, light and portable alternative, it really does the job. It’s not only for night photos either.

-Pan without tilt a little bit awkward., -Unknown how the joints and rubber will perform long term
Having spent time with the Gorillapod I found it really hard to find any faults with the mount. My only complaint was not being able to use the mount with my DSLR, but even that was not an issue because Joby does sell a mount specifically for the heavier SLR’s.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been using the Gorillapod Original to take macro pictures used on my food blog. Since my compact digital camera doesn’t have image stabilization, the Gorillapod has been fantastic at steadying the picture. It’s also great for taking group shots during a hike.
The Gorillapod is an ingenious and highly effective lightweight alternative to a full-size tripod. All the models are exceptionally well made, highly portable and offer an exceptionally versatile means of supporting a camera in a wide variety of situations.
Here I am looking at three different tripod type devices to allow you to let go of your camera. First the Hybrid that works with DSLR or pocket cameras. The other two are smaller the Micro250 for the pocket offering and the Micro800 for the larger pocket offering or the smaller DSLR.
I use these tripods all the time for special shots where a normal tripod wont work. It works well in tight places and for low shots, but it is useless when it breaks. The plastic cups that hold each segment are cracking (becoming brittle) and when they crack they become very loose and the tripod leg...
I use it as a selfie stick. Time lapse. I wrap it around stuff. Fun way to find an unique shot.
My son is ordering one after I showed him mine. I think that I should have purchased the one with the longer legs. I am very happy with this produce. I attached a small camera to the GorillaPod and then attach the GorillaPod to my bow.
A fantastic tripod for those photographers that would like to get rid of the common photography problems such as motion blur or lack of focus.

An easily transportable and affordable tripod.

Unfortunately it only reaches heights of about 6 inches.
Spend real money get a real tripod. You will see it is made cheap, I kept it because I am sure it will cost me to return and restock it.. Hate the small print.
I emailed Joby and told them of my complaint. They were nice enough to send me a new one for free, very kind of them. But ultimately the second one broke and I didn't feel that milking Joby for tripods was the best thing to do. Ultimately I just came to terms with the purchase of a fragile tripod.

Small Portable Lightweight Easy to attach the screw-in mount as it comes off the tripod

BREAKS! The joints simply can't take much abuse and considering the tripod is always demonstrated by curling it onto tree branches and fence posts it gives you the illusion that its more durable than it is. When the leg joints come loose its annoying but not tragic.
Tiny, featherweight, infinitely adaptable, this little gorillapod will allow you to use any imaginable object or surface as a mount for your point-and-shoot. I have used it on car roofs, fence rails, tree limbs, handlebars and rafters.

-- inexpensive, -- light, -- adaptable, -- has a tiny, quick-release mounting plate that can be locked to tripod, -- can be used as a toy in situations of emergency boredom

-- wouldn't put anything other than a little point-and-shoot camera on it
It's a great little tripod head and really easy to use for beginners like me. The level is incredibly helpful for lining up shots.
I have bought 2 Gorilla Pods. One (model 500) is for a Sony RX100 and I am very happy with it (stable and easy to use). The second one is a 3K for a Nikon and a flash with weight about 1,75 kg. Despite the description of the Gorilla Pod 3 K (foreseen for 3 Kg), this is a...
