I bought this gas dryer about a month ago and it does a very good job of drying my laundry. It is economical to operate and it has the features that anyone would ever want in a standard gas dryer. The price was right and very reasonable for such a deluxe gas dryer.
This dryer is annoying to use. The drying options to choose from are horrible. The clothing is never fully dry, so I always have to use the speed dry option, and then add minutes. It also always has dust on the rim- no clue where that's coming from. So disappointed in this dryer.
I have had my washer and dryer for several years approx 8 and loved it. My dryer started to make a banging noise. When I looked this up it said that there usually is a crack in the drum and it will cause the wheels to get chewed up. After taking dryer apart that is what we found.
Very happy with our LG dryer and the installation by Abt.
I was so spoiled with my 23 yr old dryer all the different settings and time settings that I didnt think Id like this new one as well. To my surprise I can do all the same things but much easier with less hassle Just loving the shiny new baby the washer too.
I really like this dryer. It's easy to operate, the lint filter is right in the front, and it's very efficient. Haven't done any unusual loads yet, so I haven't used all the cycles. But it does great with my everyday laundry u2014 normal and permanent press.
Finally tried a gas dryer after having an electric dryer for years. I am glad I made the change as my clothes dry faster. The medium heat setting on LG is enough to dry one load of clothes after 20 mins. Im glad I made the switch and trusted LG for my transition
Can't get the hot water cycle to bring hot water into the actual drum where your clothes go. Hot water will come pouring into the soap dispenser tray, but it will be luke warm by the time it get's into the drum. Very frustrating.
The dryer works great. However when it was installed the installers did not check if the exhaust cross- section was big enough. This issue will not appear as a failure on the installation test. The dryer was consuming 2x as much gas as my 25 y.o. dryer.
Set up was easy. After a month or so of use I am noticing that the clothes frequently need more drying time. There's no easy way to change the temp or add more within a cycle. You can only use the pre-programmed cycles.
Now you can get it all done in less time with this Ultra-large capacity (7.4 cu.ft.) which means you have the room to do more laundry in fewer loads.
Features:
Get It Dry the First Time
Our Sensor Dry system measures the moisture levels during the cycle and automatically adjusts the drying time to help ensure you get dry laundry every time.
Fits in More Places
Get extra capacity without taking up extra space, thanks to a 30" depth that easily fits into smaller spaces or second floor closets.
