So far the air conditioner is cooling off our room really well for the big area we have. We are having problems with the filter light keeps going off and the filter is clean, not quite sure what that is about yet.
Purchased less than a year ago and it worked fine for a couple months but now it will randomly stop working. The motor fan seems to stop and it doesn't blow air. My husband has to go outside and hit it and sometimes it will work again for a couple days. Very unfortunate. Feels like a waste of money.
I live in an older house that has a converted attic space. Naturally, it gets really cold in the winter and extremely hot in the summer. My old air unit just kicked the bucket and I decided to go with this new LG 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner for my attic space. I'm so glad that I purchased this unit.
The item works great, but is making an unexpected hissing sound that my other identical unit does not make...
Purchased to cool a part of the house that the central A/C unit didn't cover. It cools great, my wife actually grabbed a blanket to warm herself up while watching tv. Quiet operation, no need to crank up the volume on the tv. Easy to install, performs well, little noise, would highly recommend.
I bought this to replace a wall air conditioner. Not as big as my last one but was on sale because of end of summer. The room as its in gets cold. And does a decent job with others.I use it for multi rooms not just one.Not to loud.Heavier than expected but easy to install.Cut my electric bill down too.

Works just as expected. Consume about 30% less energy them my 15 years old one. But no drain hole in the bottom of the tray. It has one on back side which slightly above bottom of the tray. As a result there is always some water in the tray - don't like it because it is possible place for mosquito.
Works well, cooled the area quickly, and is not overly loud. It is much quieter than the unit it replaced. We have to raise the volume of the TV a little when it is cooling. I have not seen my electric bill yet, but I expect it to save money over the old unit based on its operation.
The LG 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner is a great unit overall. It was priced resonablity considering its size versus the smaller BTU AC's that will barely cool a closet. While we do have central ac in our house, it is not enough to cool the "add on" room which is approx. 18x18 sqft.
This air conditioner works as described. It is very quiet and cools quickly. I particularly like that it works on a remote control. I would highly recommend it.
