Lowepro has been making camera bags for over 40 years and are therefore a well-recognized and trusted name in the photography industry and the professional, top-loader, Nova series bags are one of their most popular lines.
My LowePro 170 bag has had a lot of use, and I needed something that was a little larger. So I did some measuring and the 180 was what I needed to put extra batteries in it,on camera flash with it's batteries, lens covers etc. And I still have a little extra room in it.
I bought this bag as one in a series of unsuccessful purchases, and ended up returning this bag. It fit my gear OK, but hanging on my shoulder it felt awkward and bulky. I also found I would be traveling to a foreign country and decided to go with the Keen Alameda 15 for a more discrete look.

I purchased this bag 6 weeks ago. I was looking for a bag that will carry my DSLR, a 24-70 and a 70-200 2.8 lens, some filters and spare batteries. This bag does it perfectly. I have bought low pro for years and have alway been impressed by affordability and durability.
It definitely is functional, and for the price I think the best you can get. I love the size, I have only 1 extra lense and a flash so it leaves me space for a wallet or so. I have Canon T2i and a 70-300 lense and it fits just fine. I also really like the waterproof cover.
the Nova 180 was a perfect fit for my Nikon D7200 with the 18-300 lens. plenty of room for my flash to set along side, with spare batteries and lens hood in the main compartment. Have my side mount flash bracket in the front pocket. Very well organized bag, with excellent protection.
Have had this bag for a number of years - it is my 'old faithful' - traveling to many countries around the world.
I have changed cameras, lens, and camera brands, but I still have this case. It has been from China to Africa and from Canada to Peru. It still looks great after 7 years that I can remember. Currently I am carrying 2 Mirrorless cameras with lens attached.
I am an amateur with old school gear and shoot both digital and film. I carry three basic lenses, two prime and one zoom. This bag has travelled so marvelously well and kept my gear and film safe and dry.
