Overall, I?d rate this product 5 stars for use, stability, weight, and quality. However, after 18 month of pretty light use, more than half inside, the legs started to jam then fall out of the tubes. Very disappointing. I can?
Great tripod for the money. light and packs easily. Love the low level feature of the center post.
This was a gift for my husband's birthday, he REALLY is glad he got it :-)
I finally got tired of lugging my 3221W on trips and broke down and bought a true travel tripod. This is a great little tripod and works great with my 486RC2 ball head. I've now had it for 18 months and like all my other Manfrotto tripods, it works like just the day I bought it.
It's hard to write a review for something that you haven't had for very long. So for the time being, let's say it's going to be able to do the things i'd like it to do. I haven't put it through it's paces yet!.The build quality is excellent for the price point that it is.
I use this for my run n gun / photography tripod. It's light and reliable, and could match any angle I could want. It's really good for getting low locked angles.
I'd give it 4.5 stars but I can't.The reason it loses half a star is because you need a screwdriver to take the Ball Head off. I have yet to play with it long enough to figure if that's a big deal in the long run, but I figured for such a reputable brand, this would have been something they would...
Nice and compact, easy to bring with you on the go, and sturdy enough to have confidence when mounting your gear. I use this with the photo-movie head also and just brings it to another level.
Love Manfrotto, and this replaces one I've been carrying for probably 20 years. Much lighter, of course, quicker set-up, of course. Will probably use this one for another 20.
Manfrotto is my favorite tripod. It is solid as long as the top stabilizer isn't fully open. It has a nice weight hook.
