Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod

I can't see any problem why you wouldn't be happy with this tripod if you need something light. There are smaller versions available such as the 190CX Pro3 which you can read the review of by clicking the link.

You can spend a lot more money, even though this one isnt cheap, on a Gitzo or some other ultra-high end tripod. But this carbon fiber model does everything a photographer would want: light weight, very stable,easy to use and very effective hardware.

I needed a sturdy TriPod for my D500 Nikon with a 200-500 Nikon Telephoto Lens. I have the smaller 190 Carbon Fiber though its just too light for the heavier gear. The MTO55 TriPod has a higher reach which is a plus for my needs.

lightweight, but stable. Has a place on the collar to hang something on (I bring a mesh shopping bag to hang on it with whatever in it to weigh it down in windy conditions). The legs have clasps or as Manfrotto calls it: QPL leg locking system.

Mainly used in the field for landscape shooting paired with a RRS Bh-40 head. The extendable center column helps when you have to stand significantly above the tripod feet (eg when standing on a rock in a stream with the tripod feet in the water).

So far, this is proving to be a fantastic tripod. I purchased this for architectural/real estate work, as well as product photography. I've used it several times in the last few weeks and am very pleased so far.

This tripod it is on a different level and an affordable price. It will help you if your need longer exposure times.

I just recently purchased this tripod primarily for the quick flip mechanism on the center column that allows easy close-to-ground camera placement. It replaces my older magnezium fiber Manfrotto 055 series tripod. I use it with a Gitzo ball head, and an Acratech leveling head.

I have used this same tripod for several years now via work. It's a wonderful tripod, incredibly durable and able to hold so much more weight than expected. Fairly lightweight. My biggest annoyance is with the packaging and included accessories : WHICH IS NONE.

Was looking for a good stable tripod to use my spotting scope on and to digiscope with, added 502Ah head and some spike feet, stable not much vibration from the carbon fiber
