Having used a smaller, lightweight tripod for more thhan 3 years, I had no idea how much a heavier, very stable tripod would help my shooting. I take multiple bracketed photos (up to 9 shots per bracket) in my real estate photography, so this is huge for me!
This tripod is a perfect fit for our P1000. Plenty stable and not too heavy.
After owning two Bogen Manfrotto tripods for years, I was excited to buy a new Manfrotto. Not happy with this tripod. The legs are sticky and difficult to extend and collapse, the clamps don't work very well, a variety of things loosen up, and the legs are too tight or too loose to pull apart to set...
It is heavy when compared to the Manfrotto travel tripods. It feels and looks sturdy. I bought it with the short handled 3-way head. I wasn't sure about the short handles, but I like how unobtrusive they are to use. Plus, the tension adjustment.
Not a cheap little mount but not too pricey. A little on the heavy side, but I don't mind at all for what I do. I was looking for a versatile but sturdy tripod that could hold my Nikon D500 with battery pack and a 500mm lens and this one suits me perfectly.
Okay, Im 6'2'' and this tripod comes up to me without having to hunch over. Love it! But if I want to lie on the ground and shoot this tripod can do it as well. The (4) that's right 4 bubble levels insures that anyone can take a level shot. Has a hook for hanging a sandbag if needed.
Bought to replace my 15 year old Manfrotto 0055 tripod. It is in some ways better but in others not so. Total height without extending central column is better as I use a straight through telescope.
Purchased along with MVH502 video head. These have given me the ability to take wildlife photos in low light. Previously I was using a monopod, which is easier to transport, but doesn't have a high keeper rate at slow speeds with my 400mm lens. Very well made.
I am very pleased with this. Solid and sturdy although a little bit on the bulky and heavy side it is perfect for what I wanted
The 055 Pro Series of tripods represent Manfrotto's classic tripods and are well-made, sturdy and very adjustable. If you've not ever used a tripod before, you'll probably find it will improve your photographic composition and picture sharpness no end - partly because using a tripod slows you down a...
