It's totally worth the money. Nice inovations. The levers that allows the angle of the legs to be adjusted are mildy cumbersome until you figure out that you have to push the leg towards the closed position a little before you can open the angle/stance of the leg. No biggie. All in all very good
When the 190X3 was included as part of a kit with the geared head I wanted, I decided to replace the pawnshop Bogen sticks I'd been using for years. From my experience with the Bogen I knew I wanted a center column that would allow me to fine-tune height without having to adjust all three legs,and...
I am mostly a landscape and nature photographer and the usefulness of the tripod can not be overstated. It assembles quickly and I love the independent leg logs. The ground level adapter allows me to shoot low to the ground, you will need a reducing bushel 3/8 to 1/4.
I love this tripod. It is compact, yet once the legs are extended it gives me plenty of height for my video shoots. I also use it for my large format film cameras and even with a heavy 5x7 film camera this tripod does excellent.
I use a tripod quite a bit for interview and B-roll shooting and this manfrotto tripod works great. Don't need anything super fancy or large, and this works well. Was easy to set up the screws on the plate, and is pretty light.
For my use as an amateur photographer it is simply wonderful. A little heavy and a little big but makes up for it when the tripod is used. Typical Manfrotto engineering so you know it is good.
I bought this to replace a similar Manfrotto tripod that I've been using for over 10 years. This is a good product.
I think a lot of people would try and compare this to a $700 tripod and say that it's not that great. Of course it doesn't meet those standards, but when you compare it with other brands at the same price the quality and ergonomics can't be beat.
Incredibly disappointed with Manfrotto knowing they would design and sell such inferior junk. The best description I can come up with "toyish".BTW, I've been a user and supporter of Bogan/Manfrotto for 25 years, and know what they are capable of, or what they used to be.
If you want a Solid Tripps that is able to deliver the smooth movement you are looking for then this is the product for you . Not the lightest but boy it is a killer for all your needs , great investment
