I love the adjustability of this tripod. The pan/tilt head is solid and holds my 100-400 mm lens with not problem. Pans smoothly and is extremely solid for low light shots. But...... The tilt is only 30 degrees upward with the camera/lens mounted in the standard direction.
We purchased this tripod for use with our Leica 82 birding scope. It's light enough that I don't mind carrying it on 2+ hour walks. Extremely solid construction and very stable. At this price point there really isn't anything better on the market. Manfrotto is an industry standard for a reason.
Needing a new tripod for my first official college photo program, this brand was recommended to me by the professors of the program. While expensive, it came with such high praise from them that it seemed a no-brainier.
The moment I got it out of the box I could tell it was a quality unit. The legs extend easily and the controls are solid. It could use a bubble balance on both sides, but beyond that I like it. Can't wait to put it through it's paces out in the real world.
Very nice replacement for my older pod. This unit is very sturdy, even at full extension, with my Nikon D5100 and a100mm Tokina macro lense. My only complaint is the ball head is very easy to unscrew from the tripod if the ball head is tightened.
Great tripod. Currently using it to support a Sigma 150-600. So far it appears to be up to the job.
Great tripod at the best price (I could find) on the market!
This is my second tripod I find it a good mix of stability & lightness.
Good sturdy tripod with fully articulated legs.
For the price this is a great bit of kit, of course its not the best, you can pay more than the cost of the camera for some tripods but this one holds steady enough for me with the GH3 and the Man. fluid drag system on top.
