For a pair of premium audio headphones to price at S$1620, the Mark Levinson No.5909 is actually not too exorbitant compared with other audiophile headphones like the Beyerdynamic T1 Gen 3 (also S$1499) or Sennheiser IE900 (S$2199).

Outstanding clarity in presenting musical nuances, Supports digital and analogue, wired and wireless connectivity, High quality braided cables and accessories

Bass lacks impact and kick, Sound signature might be too clean for listeners who prefer more fullness, Average ANC and Awareness
The Mark Levinson No.5909 ended up completely overturning my preconceptions of these headphones being more style than substance. Besides their elite good looks, a serious level of R&D has gone into these cans to not only make them sound exceptional but also to make them almost effortless to use.

Best sound from a Wireless BT headphone so far., Supremely comfortable., Effective ANC., With a cord and no power, they still sound fantastic.

I got nuthin’.
Mark Levinson doesn't make cheap stuff, and they're not about to start now - with their first wireless, noise-cancelling headphones. But how good are they?
-
+
Exclusive in every possible way, great fit, and great sound.

Could have been a little louder, Hefty price tag.
The Mark Levinson No. 5909 headphones offer a great design and excellent audio quality — but are they worth the high price?

Great design, Excellent audio quality, Good ANC, Solid battery, Well-designed app

A little noisy, Expensive
Sony? Bose? Much too commonplace. Bowers & Wilkins? Bang & Olufsen? A little bit try-hard, aren’t they? So what’s a well-heeled and informed audiophile to do when it comes to choosing a pair of wireless, over-ear, active noise-cancelling headphones with which to slay the other occupants of the...
This comparison might simply come down to price, in which case the Bathys will be an easy pick. For $999 though, the No.5909 still retains a lot of value. I think its specific sound signature will satisfy the tatse of most listeners, while the Bathys has a tone that suits more of an audiophile...

A little noisy, Expensive
Like a Lexus GS F for on-the-go listening, the Mark Levinson No. 5909 Bluetooth adaptive active noise cancellation headphones are polished and plush and packed with thoughtful details—physically and sonically.
$999 is a lot of money for a pair of ANC wireless headphones. The Mark Levinson No. 5909 swing for the bleachers and the category MVP.
For Mark Levinson’s first headphones, they knock it out of the park in terms of pure sound quality. It never feels like it’s doing too much, and it arrives at the perfect balance between accuracy and coloration.
Distinctive Instrumental Clarity Unheard Of Mark Levinson is a luxury audio brand founded in 1972 by Mark Levinson, a musician, audio engineer, audio equipment designer, and entrepreneur. He left the company in 1984 and since then the company has changed ownership several times.

Amazing sound when hard-wire connected to the DAC. Excellent sound, though noticeably less clarity, when connected via Blue Tooth directly to the Mac. Intermediate clarity when DAC connected to the Mac and headphones connected to the DAC via Blue Tooth. Modern Blue Tooth is simply amazing.

Great sound, great noise cancellation, great build quality, and great comfort. And they look the part! True stylish gear head!

They really are expensive, and the carrying case is quite large.
Very nice headphones, probably the best I ever had (including KOSS ESP). Initially had a few difficulties connecting them to my devices, mostly because technical information is sparse. But after a few weeks, it all worked out well.
Pure goodness! Amazing pair of headphones. If you can afford them and you love hearing the music as it was intended to be heard, get yourself a pair. I must admit that the price made me hesitate more than once.
After a break-in period, I have come to feel ecstatic about the sound stage and awesome articulation of these cans. Great comfort on the ears and great looks. A grand slam!
Very comfortable. Calls are excellent. I use it for business and it's great.
Just started using them. Traveling a lot this week.
This "expensive" audiophile quality headphone lived up to my expectations. The connection variety exceeds most other "noise cancelling" audiophile headphones out there and the (Harman Curve) sound is spectacular.

Musicality. Variety of connections. Superb specs.

None that I have experienced.
I have a pair of Focal Bathys, and having heard so much about the No. 5909 I decided to buy a pair. The build quality is top notch, but they felt heavy to me and the top of my head would start to hurt after only a couple of minutes of wear.

The sound is very accurate using bluetooth and better still when plugged in. Phones are comfortable and noise cancelling is top notch.
