When Netgear announced the availability of the Nighthawk X6 R8000 I was intrigued since it was the first Tri-Band AC3200 compatible WiFi router in the market and having reviewed the excellent Nighthawk R7000 made things even more interesting.

On the whole, we are pleased with tested NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 R8000 wireless router that raises the bar for the speed of the wireless segment up to an unbelievable height of 3,2 Gbps due to three independent frequency bands and the support of AC3200 (IEEE 802.11ac).

The web-interface is not completely translated, and to change localization Internet connection is needed, Relatively high price, IPv6 and OpenVPN cannot be used simultaneously
The Nighthawk X6 AC3200 is by far the fastest and most reliable router we've had the pleasure of using.

Although it's cool looking, It is a little bigger than most so prepare to clear some space
The Netgear R8000 Nighthawk X6 is, without a doubt, the fastest router that we have tested thus far. This isn't because of the introduction of all sorts of hip new technologies, such as Multi-User MIMO, but mainly because of the addition of an extra radio.
$300 is a lot to spend on a router, so they better be worth it. The R8000's value proposition is that its two 5 GHz radios will provide better total throughput utilization by separating "slow" and "fast" devices. It's not promising improved range. It's not promising higher (single device) speeds.
We have been anticipating the arrival of the Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 router since its announcement in June of this year. What makes this router so unique on paper is that it contains three radio bands, one 2.4 GHz (600 Mbps), and two 5.0 GHz (1300 Mbps), or “Triband” that can be used...
Today Tyler gives us a close look at the new Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 AC3200 wireless router. It costs a bit, but includes loads of features - read on.
Wi-Fi has been around long enough that the "higher number on the box" should suck in only the most dewy-eyed buyers. So it should come as no surprise that the R8000 isn't likely to work miracles with your Wi-Fi range or boost throughput for individual clients.
Supper fast and much clearer wifi. No more freeze or waiting on slow downloads. My Facebook Lives come in so much better.
After getting everything hooked up it took maybe 5 min to install. Can easily be installed with minimal knowledge and lots of advanced options. Very good for network with a lot of wireless devices (my house had 11)
After setting up my whole house to be wired, this was just an added plus to have the wi-fi connection be as consistent as the wired. The router is located in my basement and I still get almost full signal in my garage. No more spotty wi-fi or buffering youtube videos for me!
this router is amazing. i am running 10 items and all are smokin fast!
Set up is a breeze !! With extenders I'm very happy with this router.
