Does the Nikon FTZ II make it worth upgrading from the original FTZ adaptor, or worth buying at all?...
This was a nice update to the FTZ mount adapter. Removing the tripod foot makes it more compact, especially when used on my Nikon Z 6ii with the battery grip attachment. Compared to the first generation FTZ adapter, the FTZii adapter feels like it attaches to the camera more smoothly.

More compact design
A wonderful redesign of the older FTZ. Really essential of you have a Nikon Mirrorless Camera. Gives new life to your old lenses
-
+
Small footprint that solves the issue of using a tripod with your Nikon Mirrorless Camera

-
A bit expensive
This adapter works fine and allows me to use my older "AF" series and "DX" series Nikon lens that I have accumulated in past years. The only catch with the older autofocus AF lens is that the autofocus no longer works. These older lens had the focus drive motor in the camera body.
If you have some F lenses you still want to use with your new Z camera this is your ticket.

+
Use old lenses.
-
-
You will likely replace the old lens with Z lenses rendering this of no use.
Like the smaller size! Works seamlessly when mounting F glass to the new Z mount.

Smaller size is nice

-
Build quality seems to be lacking compared to the F to Z version 1 adaptor.

Compact

Much neater and less obtrusive than the original FTZ. Works with all my F mount lenses.

+
Compact, easy to use

My camera was on back order and they kept me updated until it arrived. Nikon Z6 11 and FTZ 11.
