The Nikkor Z 14-24mm F2.8 S is smaller and lighter than similar lenses for other systems, but it has to compete with Nikon's more affordable Z 14-30mm F4 S.

Sharp f/2.8 optics, Sturdy, all-weather build, Anti-smudge glass coating, Supports front and rear filters

112mm threaded filters are costly, Design not as ambitious as competitors
A 14-24mm focal length range is something of a luxury, especially with a fixed aperture of f/2.8. Consequently, the Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is likely to appeal most to professional photographers while enthusiast will probably find that the Nikon Z 14-30mm f/4 S meets their needs.

Superb image quality even at maximum aperture, Fast and quiet AF, Significantly lighter and smaller than F-mount equivalent

This type of lens doesn't come cheap, Two lens hoods required (supplied), one for with 112mm filters and one without, Can't be used with filter holders - ruling out graduated filters
The Nikkor Z 14-24mm f2.8 S is a niche product. Photographers who need to fill that niche should find it eminently suitable.
Finally got the chance to take this lens out into the real world this past weekend and must say, WOW. As with the other lenses in the S series, it is well built and feels like one of Nikon's legacy products. Fit and finish are flawless, and feels good in the hand.

Honestly none that I can find.
Stunningly sharp, sharper than the Nikon 14-24 F2.8 AF version. Corner to corner detail is beautiful and tack sharp with contrast detail never before seen in a wide angle zoom. The addition of the two detail buttons was a stoke of genius on the part of Nikon Lens Designers and a wonderful aid when...
This is a worthy replacement for the infamous F-mount equivalent. A wonderful lens, more compact, lighter and with better optical performance than its predecessor. I use it primarily for night and long exposure photography and it performs as expected: very sharp and without coma for stars and...
Excellent lens for indoor and outdoor images. Great in low light. I took 85 images at a museum yesterday, most of them indoors without a flash.I now have the Holy Trinity system. 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200mm. The 14-24 is great at any focal length, 14 or 24.
I love this lens, it is so sharp even right to the edge of the corners, good colors and contrast. The rings turning is so smooth, the lens has a very professional feel and build.
Love this lens. Perfect for landscapes, the ultra-wide angle its great for putting the scene into perspective and scale. I'm impressed with the focal length and details too.
This a great lens for landscape photography, it is also great for indoor photography.
This excellent lens completed my Z Holy Trinity. This is a great improvement over the older F mount version. Highly recommended.
Awesome lens. Not fully exploited yet, but limited results are great.
Crystal clear images with very little distortion. Great work Nikon
