I was skeptical in purchasing a prime 50mm for my Z6 with 1.8 because I thought it wouldn't be fast enough. However, the noise at the higher ISO settings was surprisingly minimal. It is extremely sharp and the Eye Detection AF is amazing! This has become my favorite lens.

I am completely satisfied with this Z 50 mm f1.8 s, Edge to Edge sharpness and "dead" on center sharpness. I never bother to read "expert" analysis of a lens performance, solely relying on my own testing and what pleases me.

I have a few 50mm Nikon lens. This one is by far the best and sharpest 50mm lens made by Nikon. This lens is sharp edge to edge with a pleasing bokeh. I shoot this lens at 1.8 most of the time and I love the images it produces.

The first thing I noticed was the absolutely superb edge to edge sharpness, best I have ever seen. I also noticed how pleasing the bokeh is when shooting at f1.8. Considering what I paid for the lens overall I am blown away by this lens.

As an amateur photographer, I defer to the analyses of other, more qualified testers. But I am indeed delighted with this lens.
