It is a good scanning tool to spot the target, very good view in low magnification. It is also light weight, easy to carry around.
This scope is designed for, and only suited to viewing objects with a short depth of field such as targets or perching birds. Focus at 20x is adequate, but as soon as the eye piece is zoomed toward or beyond the mid point in the 20-60x range focus becomes problematic.
I use the spotting scope to view birds as part of my research on endangered species and this scope is great! My older scope, the same model but two years older, has a narrower lens and doesn't let as much light in -- the new model is wider and lets in more light so see the finer details of leg bands...
I bought this scope. Love it. Excellent quality for the price. Comes with a bikini. Downside is that at full zoom it is impossible to focus.
I bought this scope for birding and it doesn't disappoint. While out on birding events with the Audubon Society, I often looked through other scopes and since I wear glasses I could only see the center of the image through the scope.
Amazing, it is really clear and works with good with a sony camera for digiscoping!
This product was advertised as a real great scope. I use it to look at mountains about 3-7 miles from my deck, and I use it from a tripod. The scope is good for medium distance, but when you zoom farther in, you start to see blurriness and color separation. Not great for a Nikon product.
Good scope for the money
For the money it is a good scope.
I purchased scope for scouting/hunting. If u plan on using window mount from vehicle get the straight model. The angled model is too high to use when mounted . I returned angled model. Waiting for straight to show up.
