I have always used Turbos due to their fast regeneration of the SB's and longevity of battery usage during an entire wedding. (20 plus years of using turbos) I have used the SD-9 at my last two weddings. One wedding was a short wedding, 5 hours, at it worked great.
It is a must have for wedding photography as it powers the flash bursts and therefore reduces your recycle time enabling you to get the shot at the correct exposure. When it works it is 5 out of 5 stars but they seem to be prone to failure.
I received my order a day sooner than promised. SD-9 battery pack was a pleasant surprise. It is light but sturdy enough. People had commented about the cord, but after shooting with it all day at a wedding, I don't see any future problems with the cord breaking.
This battery pack works great with my Nikon SB5000 speedlights. It's helpful in a pinch if I don't have a more substantial pack such as an Al Jacob's Black Box or Quantum pack handy. It's cheezy plastic construction makes it something I would not rely on without a backup.
Works exactly as advertised - works beautifully for events and weddings - prevents from having to change out 4 batteries every couple hours of shooting.
Loving this thing - I take it to nearly every shoot to extend the batter life of my on and off-camera flashes. I went from changing flash batteries every hour or so to not changing them at all for 4 hour events!
This item went on backorder the day i order it and B and H kept me updated on a weekly basis. When the item came in it was shipped the same day. Thank you B and H, your the best and i tell everyone about your store..
it stops working after few shooting sessions
Works as advertised, it also works with my new SB-5000 flash. More expensive then other brands but I didn't want to take a chance on having any compatibility issues. Easy to use.
Works like a charm. Not concerned about my speedlight stalling on me. Used it on a couple of shoots and worked as expected.
