The Bass Station 2 is a synth with personality that produces ripping, gnashy solos as readily as solid analogue bass. If you can adapt to the short keyboard, it's a delight to play and to sequence.

I'm not super familiar with Novation products, and this is the first bass synth I've owned. But... Out of the box, the mod wheels were not that great. Key action is Aftertouch at its worst. The model however looks awesome! Overall good purchase, just wish I had after market mod wheel components.

I own a brandnew Bass Station 2 for over a month and i can say in the analog field it does everything i was looking for. 'Analog workstation' would be a better name for Bass Station 2 because it excels in leads, bass, Fx and analog drumsounds in a range of more than 12 octaves !

Ordered this synth after several weeks of research. This synth is hands down the best bang for the buck you can get in a synth at this price range. It's sound is incredibly punchy, clear and bright.

I always wanted a keyboard synthesizer. One day, I decided to seriously invest into a synthesizer. for about half the price of a new smartphone, I purchased this bad boy. I cannot say enough about it! absolutely brutal distortion, overdrive, frequency mod, and filter sweeps.

The sounds you can get out of this synth are amazing. It has everything you would want from a monophonic synthesizer. It can go from classic analog to just a screaming mess, in a good way. I originally wanted to get the Korg Monologue, which as soon as it came out I preordered.

Super fat dope bass sounds ! Tweak away , awesome analog sound. only thing keeping it from 5 stars is body could be slightly more heavy duty. get gig bag at least. overall amazing for the price a must have.. Alex V

I love this thing, just received it and can't stop messing with all the knobs. I also own the Waldorf Blofeld, Roland Juno GI, Novation Moroder Mini Nova, and Korg electribe. Had the Micro Brute but found it boring and limited.

The BS2 is a really nice synthesizer regardless of price. You've got two oscillators + sub with all the standard analog waveforms along with sinewave -- which often is left out on many analog synthesizers. This is especially nice since you can FM the filter with OSC 2.
