Though it's still a small collection of lenses at this point, Olympus' M.Zuiko Pro line continues to impress with high quality performance and excellent build quality. The new Olympus 7-14mm Æ’/2.8 Pro lens steps in as the premiere ultra-wide zoom lens for the Micro Four Thirds system, offering...
This ultra-wide angle zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds (MFT) system cameras provides an angle of view equivalent to a 14-28mm lens used on a 35mm format camera and sports a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range.
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 7–14 mm f/2.8 ED PRO is undoubtedly a very interesting instrument, supplementing the offer of Micro Four Thirds lenses and enhancing the competitiveness of that system, especially if compared to other mirrorless formats.

weak performance against bright light,, very high distortion level for RAW files,, no possibility to attach classic filters.
Given the ‘Pro’ moniker assigned to this lens, expectations of its build and performance should be high. During testing this lens proved itself worthy, by delivering images with outstanding sharpness, whilst handling well and sporting a robust dust and moisture resistant construction.

Manual focus control easily nudged when changing lenses, Quite prone to flare
The 7-14mm f/2.8 lens is an impressive performer and a worthy addition to the Olympus M.Zuiko PRO range. The relatively high price tag reflects both the build and optical quality of this lens.
Olympus's previous 9-18mm MFT lens wasn't really built for high-end use, but this new lens ranks with the best super-wide zooms from Nikon and Canon.
This is an absolutely stunning super wide angle zoom!Honestly the only thing I REALLY care about is the lack of coma and other aberrations across the field, especially the edges, at 7mm. I use super wide lenses for photographing auroras and the corners are super important.
Given the diminutive size, weather sealing and ultra wide focal length range of this lens, I'm more than willing to forgive it the slight optical shortcomings. This thing comes everywhere with me.

Incredible image quality. I love the wide (14mm in 35mm equivalent terms) angle of view from something SO small.

Some chromatic aberration and loss of sharpness at the edges of the frame.
This pro lens is made from metal and is solid. It is a very sharp and there is very little distortion. I have always wanted a 14-28 mm (35mm equivalent) lens especially for indoor shooting with a 2.8 f-stop. I recommend this lens without hesistation.

Extra wide angle view and solid feel.

This is a really solid lens. Great image quality. Zoom is really solid and useful, and it has the manual focus "lock" that works like should. Constant F2.8 is really good, and very good for interiors. I use this for architecture / real estate shoots.
Although this lens is a little heavier than my other lenses it feels good on my E-M5. It is a joy to use and I am having fun framing photos through this wider perspective.
I like the solid feel of this lens on my E-M5. It takes very sharp images. I am having fun using the ultra wide for a different viewpoint and perspective from my other lenses. This lens is a joy to use.
Even more important than the camera is the glass attached to it. Crisp clear images throughout to range of the zoom. Used it for sunrise shots and love what the lens allowed me to get.
