The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 12-200mm F3.5-6.3 lens has a big zoom range, but image quality drops as you zoom in and there's no stabilization.

16.7x zoom ratio., Relatively light and compact., Dust and splash protection., Close-up focus capability., Minimal distortion and vignette.

Reliant on in-camera stabilization., Images suffer beyond 100mm zoom.
Taken for what it is, not what it isn’t, the M.Zuiko 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 is a great proposition. If you need a single lens to cover any eventuality – whether you’re recording a family holiday, backpacking with minimal kit, or you want a versatile optic that you can also use for shooting videos and...

Incredibly light and compact, Thoroughly weather sealed, MSC focusing for video

No additional stabilisation, Sharpness obviously suffers, A bit large for smaller bodies

Huge 24-400mm equivalent range offers huge compositional flexibility, Good for close-ups, with 50cm minimum focus at 200mm, Weather-resistant construction, Fast, silent and accurate AF (at least in good light)

Not particularly sharp, especially at telephoto, Autofocus can be hesitant in low light, Unsuitable for use on Panasonic Lumix G bodies that lack in-body stabilisation
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 lens is a dream to use, without a doubt. The concept of the all-in-one travel zoom is great, with a long reach and really close focus all built in. There will be many travellers who will take to this lens and produce very memorable images.
I own the Olympus 14-150mm and was excited at the prospect of migrating to the 12-200mm for a somewhat faster lens and broader field and depth of view. Man was I disappointed. And didnt make the intended purchase.
I use this lens on an Olympus OM-D 10 MIII. I generally get very high quality photos from this combination. I don't have a large collection of lenses to compare this one to but I don't have to change for close up or distance.
I have been using this lens for about a week to get used to the camera and had the same problem with stickiness others have reported. However, after a week of use either I have become used to it or it has greatly lessened.
Not happy my 1st outing with the new lens, after thinking about it, I realize that I was asking to much from the 12-200mm. But now after more outings it has become my lens of choice for my type of photography.
Great lens for all around use. 12-200 allows wide angle to zoom in a compact light lens. Focusing was quick.
After suffering a medical emergency I am no longer able to carry heavy gear, sold everything and bought this lens along with an OMD EM1-MK 2.. I have been amazed by the image quality for a lens with such a long focal range, auto focus is very quick, 80/90% of images of flying birds are sharp and...

Great lens for general use but lacks the PRO quality
When I bought my Olympus E-M 10 Mark III, I got the 12-42mm lens and the 75-300mm lens. What I found, though, was there was a whole lot of area missing for my shots between the 42 and 75. And of course, mirrorless means it's the 84-150 range.

What a great wee lightweight, compact super zoom lens.
I love this new lens. Really amazed at its zoom capability as well as able to shoot close-ups, very good in low light situations too. A little larger than my other micro 4/3 lenses, but you cant have everything!Had to wait about a month as it was on back order- was worth the wait.
