The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 17mm f/1.2 Pro delivers top-end image quality and a bright aperture for the Micro Four Thirds system, but is a bit too big for smaller cameras.

Bright maximum aperture., Very sharp., No distortion., Strong close focus capability., All-weather build., Manual focus clutch.

Moderate corner dimness at f/1.2., No optical stabilization., Doesn't pair well with smaller bodies., Pricey.
The Olympus 17mm f1.2 PRO is a mild wide-angle lens with a bright focal ratio designed for Micro Four Thirds bodies. When mounted on a Micro Four Thirds body, the 17mm delivers coverage equivalent to 34mm, providing flexible general-purpose coverage: wide enough to squeeze in a landscape, interior...
The M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.2 PRO is one of Olympus’ most recent offerings for Micro Four Thirds, and also happens to be the fastest moderate wide-angle AF prime for the system at the time of writing.
What does this mean ?
After a slight misfire with the PRO 1.2/25 model which price, compared to its possibilities, was definitely too high, the continuation of PRO f/1.2 lenses series can be called completely successful. Both models announced in 2017, the M.

significant distortion level on RAW files,, performance against bright light should have been better.
When fitted to an M4/3 camera, the 17mm f/1.2 PRO lens covers a 65 degree angle of view, equivalent to a 34mm lens on a 35mm camera. This makes it suitable for a variety of genres, particularly landscape and architectural photography and street photography.
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 17mm f/1.2 PRO delivers simply outstanding image quality. It's pin-sharp even when shooting wide-open at f/1.2, both in the centre and at the edges of the frame, something that we rarely get to say about any lens.
Olen erittäin tyytyväinen tähän ostokseeni. Käyttökokemus on viellä vähäinen mutta tällä hetkellä tuntuu todella hyvältä objektiivivalinnalta.
Does everything I wanted it to do. Wonderful in low light. No more stuttering to focus. Perfect for me
This lives up to my expectations. Very sharp and great contrast
Käyttökokemus tuotteelle on vielä jäänyt hyvin vähäiseksi, mutta olen erittäin tyytyväinen ostokseen.
great lens--beautiful bokeh and really nice and sharp

Sharp from edge to edge, beautiful colour, wonderful low light and natural light performer, excellent also with flash. I'm pro wedding photographer and my results with this lens are fabuous.
I have only bought this lens three weeks ago. My test is entirely "unscientific". Some pics I have taken of buildings at varying f-stops, the rest is simple every-day photography at different situations and light. Fully open the lens has an impressive performance.

size / weight prize
Best bright wide angle lens I ever shot with. It\'s expensive but I don\'t regret it. It\'s much better than even a good sample of the 17mm f/1,8. It\'s not a small lens but not as huge as I thought. It\'s confortable if your camera has a substantial grip, feels good on my E-M1.

- Great overall build quality, weather sealed - Fast focusing - Incredible sharpness from wide open - Close focusing - Especially smooth and creamy bokeh
-
-
- Not a small lens but not an enormous one - Why plastic filter thread ? Sounds like a lack of taste on such a beautiful barrel - You must be close to your subject to play with bokeh - Expensive (but may be worth it, read full review)
