Not enough ghosting and flare minimization Lots of chromatic aberration Bad metering in high contrast situations
The Olympus TOUGH TG-6 is a modest update to the earlier TG-5, with a higher resolution 1040k dot screen and new anti-glare glass in front of the sensor. The quality of underwater photos and video have been improved by the addition of three new white balance modes for differing water depths and the...

… but a piece did break off!, Only 12MP image resolution, No fully manual control
It been a while since I have reviewed a camera that can fit in your pocket, of course most recent SmartPhones have better than average cameras but I do not know any that can shoot underwater as this latest offering from Olympus can.
The TG-5 was a popular compact camera and while the TG-6 doesn’t make a major upgrade, it still meets a need in the market. It’s also easy to use and can deliver good quality images in a range of conditions.
Overall, this camera is an amazing model to buy for both professionals and beginners. It has features they can enjoy and its compact size makes it worth every penny. Carrying this device with you while you travel will be no problem at all.

In-camera focus stacking makes the subject look clear, Full HD video at high speed provides you with no lagging at all, Has excellent color reproduction that makes images seem crisp, f/2.0 brighter than normal lenses makes sure that it can work at night, With 4k video recording, you can enjoy a...

Doesn’t have full manual control for you to adjust
Even though it’s an entry-level camera, meant for casual shooting, the TOUGH TG-6 does not compromise on image quality. A fast F2.0 lens means better low-light capability. A prism-folded design gives 25-100 mm (equiv.) 4x optical zoom.
With features like microscopic, internal focus stacking and a waterproof body, could this Olympus Tough TG-6 Camera be the perfect...
I bought the Olympus TG-6 for a long sailing trip. The idea was to have a tough camera that can survive knocks and salty water. The TG-6 is marketed as an underwater camera but is very capable as a action, sailing, skiing or general tourist camera. It delivers stunning images with minimal effort.
We bought this camera right before we went on a trip to the Caribbean. Its amazing!! I got both video and still shots. I posted so many of them on Facebook and got a lot of compliments. The images are beautiful. Its easy to operate - for even a rookie like me looks like a professional :)
I bought the camera for my Hawaii trip and all of my photos turned out amazing, perfect for simple point-and-shoot situations I mostly bought it for the underwater use and I love it make sure to turn on the underwater setting though I kind of forgot that part when using it, but the photo still...
I bought the Olympus TG6 because I was frustrated with the close-up capabilities of my Sony RX100 M3. The Sony has better image quality because of its larger sensor. The TG6 images look fine at screen resolution but not so good at 100% crop. Having said that, the TG6 is brilliant for macro.
Overall, pretty happy with it. PROS: 2 locks to keep water tight. Great quality photos. Multiple settings and options for customization. Easy to charge from any USB charger. CONS: limited to 12x zoom. No panoramic option. No lens cover. Battery life could be better.
A very feature-rich and well-made camera. I bought it for underwater photography and it seems to hit all the targets and then some. One of the best things about it are that most features are soft-set and can be accessed from any mode- for example, you don't have to be in movie mode to take a movie,...
This camera is a rough & tough camera- I like it because it is solid weight- is not flimsy- the buttons are easy to read and figure out with out the manual-I keep mine on auto and it works great clear and defined- when I crop and resize, the pictures stay sharp-It is nice that it has a lock or extra...
I bought the TG-6 to use snorkeling and it took very nice pictures. I do use the waterproof case that one can buy for this camera, because I did not want to take any chances. But the camera fit into it just as it should, the controls were easy to use, and the pictures were very nice.
I am a pro photog and I have owned the TG-4 and now own the TG-5 and TG-6. These are VERY ADVANCED cameras. PLEASE READ THE MANUAL! There are gillions of options and many amateur photographers never read the manual and complain about the camera because they never bother to implement the correct...
Loving this camera so far! I just started taking this out on my dives and first use was on a shallow reef dive. I got nice bright vibrant colors with this camera and can’t wait to take some macro shots with it as others rave about the great shots you can take in macro on it.
