Onkyo's brand name speaks for itself amongst audiophiles and gear heads, and while they are better known for their receivers, this changer does what it does very well, especially for the price it can be had at these days.
It works as it should and I am happy with it, there are not too many choices out there to choose from and I have an older audio system. I would recommend it to anyone like me that has older technology and hates to pay for the newer way to connect my music with subscribing to everything.Alan

To load the disc to fill the carousel is little bit different than my Sony that went bad on me
I truly like this machine I like the sound the convenience of 6 disc's the backing of the Onkyo name and so much more. In fact I like it so much I have four of them
Being concerned with both the audio quality and mechanical integrity, we were pleasantly surprised with the performance of this carousel player. The sound quality is fine, and the disc-swapping is quiet & swift. Random track selection is easy to initiate and works well.
Needed to replace 10 year old Denon CD player which failed, found the first Onkyo to be price and function compatible. Don't play CD as often as I used to but still wanted access to my CD library.
My husband loves his music and now the garage is his music man cave!
It works and it seems to read CDs accurately. Didn't think I would like the audio fidelity of a six CD player, but it works well and the sound reproduction is excellent.

Attractive, Doesn't Skip, Easy To Set Up, Great Sound, Simple Controls
Just a basic system to play cd's. There are not many multi-cd players out there, so it was great to find it at H.H. Gregg. My last one played dvds. This one does not, which would have been awesome.

Attractive Design, Doesn't Skip, Great Sound, Not Many Out There

No Dvd Use, Small Buttons And Letters
I made a previous recent review regarding the slow pause in between selections but left out the fact that it is in RANDOM when it happens and is understandable. I like my RANDOM or SHUTTLE modes to mix quickly like seamlessly DJ ing but as I pointed out these slow pauses can be worked around even...
It worked okay for a couple years, then, like other reviewers have stated, it stopped recognizing the discs. I wasn't using it that often, so it's not like it was overburdened.

6 discs rather than 5.

It broke after light use.
I am a fan of Onkyo gear in general, but this cd player didn't do it for me. The operation is quiet and smooth. Great looks. The treble sounded very nice. The bass sounded unrefined to me. The mid range was a tad on the harsh side.
