I bought this lens for astrophotography on full framt'e sensor cameras - Nikon D800 and Sony A7. I wanted the circular effect so I needed a detachable lens hood - this lens is designed for APC sensors but works on full frame sensors giving a circular effect with the lens hood detached.
I got my lense last night and it was that I had hoped it would be. I am super amazed by the quality. I am excited to use it on my big trip in 2 weekends as this lense will make some great pictures at the top of a mountain. Couldn't be happier.
I bought this lens because I have always wanted to play with a fisheye lens, and for all-sky imaging for astronomy. And it is fun for shooting both interior and exterior photos. It is all manual, and the image is rather hard to see when stopped down.
This fisheye is great.. I'm just a beginner and love the look of fisheye images. This product only works in manual mode, but works with easily. Now to perfect my images and learn more about what this lens can did for me
I bought this lens to take on a work / vacation near the beach. I have always thought fisheye photos were cool. B H photo has an awesome video about fisheyes with the photographer - I think his name is Gene Ho. Anyway..Igor the lens on sale and I thought it would be a great way to start.
I'm new to photography and I wanted something with wide. A friend suggested a fish eyes lens. I was at first skeptical. Thought its going to be cheap product but I was wrong. Kinda heavy for a lens. Well built and I like it how it is manuel. It is fun. Just play around with it.
I have the Rebel T5 and it locks on fine. Unlocking it, it has the tendency to over turn so you need to make sure you only turn the 90 degrees or so to pop the lens off.Otherwise its pretty good for the little Rebel.
Not durable glass. And the plastic mount (on the inside of shell) where it goes from the aperture to the mount broke on me. So now everythings blurry if I move it from the widest aperture. Cheaply built, but for the price, I'll probably buy it again and get a tadashi filter for it
I have bought this lens for landscape & astro. So far I have done landscapes, and I thoroughly enjoy this. Later this month I'll try it for astro. I am using it on Nikon D750 in Dx mode. Negligible but manageable chromatic aberrations.
I have tried a couple of different fish eye lenses of my friends..this one is equally good as much expensive lenses..I am really happy for the money I spent..would suggest to go for it.do not think...you will not get a better one for this price.
