For a home projector, the Optoma CinemaX P2 offers great color accuracy and contrast, as well as unusually capable audio. Just be mindful of the image if you're sensitive to rainbow artifacts.

Can fill an 85-to-120-inch screen from inches away, 4K resolution using TI's XPR pixel shifting, Top-tier out-of-box color accuracy, Color management system for full calibration, Bright enough for a midsize to large family room with ambient light, Laser-phosphor light source
-
-
Integrated streaming is better ignored in favor of an HDMI dongle (which demands a second remote), Only two of three HDMI ports support 4K with HDR, More prone to rainbow artifacts than most UST DLP projectors
Ultra short throw projectors may not be as widespread as normal forward projecting systems but they are starting to catch up. When the CinemaX P1 was first introduced it was a real breakthrough from Optoma and set the standard for all future releases.

Input lag still a bit high, Less than stellar Android experience, Very basic remote design
The Optoma CinemaX P2 is a well designed and engineered lifestyle component. It competes with the best media room displays and can serve as both a movie machine and a television. It offers decent value and can be set up just about anywhere you have a wall and a credenza.

The Optoma CinemaX P2 is designed for living rooms rather than corporate conference rooms, with a cracking sound system and offering vibrant laser-powered images. If you haven't bought a projector before and want big-screen entertainment, it could be just the ticket.

No HLG HDR support over HDMI, Less bright than its predecessor
The beautifully-designed Optoma CinemaX P2 is proof that a projector doesn’t have to dominate your living space if you want to super-size your images. Picture quality is polished, and the onboard sound system is a blast.

Less bright than its predecessor, Doesn’t support HLG HDR over HDMI, Smart app choice limited
I have yet to get my hands on a PS5 but when I do I am sure it will be amazing for gaming. The picture quality is great. The only bad things are the i OS and it’s not the most intuitive when it comes to setting your screen size with the app on your phone. but once you do figure it out, it’s solid.
Cons remote power button have to be prest multiple times for it to work. after two weeks the projector stopped picking up 5g wifi signal so I had to reset the projector to get it to work again. After 2 days it stop again so i move to wired like a cave man.
There's really nothing much to dislike about this projector except for the OS which is nothing a streaming device can't solve. Picture is amazing, sound is one of the best you can get in a projector. Best of all is you won't worry about lamps burning out anytime soon. A real TV replacement.
We tried multiple projectors including Nebula Cosmos, Vava and Optoma. We found Optoma to have stable software and reliable. Optoma's projector is bit bulky compared to all others but the quality and brigtness is good. Given the pandemic and theatres are closed, we felt this was a good buy.
What a great projector! Bought this for a dedicated home theater and it does not disappoint. Picture is awesome, super clean and crisp. Set up was easy. Sound from the built in sound bar was good. Adding components like AV receiver and speakers was a snap! I am SUPER happy with this purchase.
I've had this a couple of weeks now and I've been streaming various content including 4K from Disney+. So far I've just been projecting on to my wall with an 80" inch screen size (it will be 120" when my cinema room is done), it's amazing how big the picture is given it's only about 6" away from the...
3 months in using an 92" ALR screen VividStorm tension tab, with .6 gain. Yes you will want to accommodate for the additional cost of a proper screen. Mine is not yet professionally calibrated but I use projector central settings as baseline.
Very nice projector when paired with ALR screen!
The picture quality of this projector is simply amazing. I used a non ALR screen and yet the results are awesome. I have yet to see the rainbow effects associated with projectors with color wheel. Overall very happy with the purchase.
Projector is amazing, has some glitches that have come up once or twice after having this projector for 6-7 months but nothing too serious. Video quality is fantastic even projected onto a painted wall, I get a massive 110" screen with barely any distortion on the edges.
