Needed to to replace a 15 year old toaster (same manufacture similar model) that broke. I liked the old unit so much I replaced with the most current model and yes I like new unit as much or more. I have no complaints on the units. Yes I would recommend the unit.
If you are looking for a toaster that can also be a great small oven to cook/heat up a fast dinner, this is a great choice.

Small, light, energy effcient (compared to using the regular oven for a few things). So far toast and the fish sticks we cooked turned out perfect. Fast with with the no pre heat.

I wanted to like this toaster oven, especially considering the high number of positive reviews. However, we have not had good experiences with it. First, the controls are unusual and not the most logical, giving you a scale of only 8 different temperature settings spaced about 35 degrees apart, and...
This is my second of the same model, everyone in the house complained when I put the first one in my RV and replaced it with a regular toaster oven. So I bought another Panasonic for the house.
We love this thing! This actually is our second one. We had one for years, but it was taken out by a power surge during Hurricane Sandy that took out a number of other things in our house as well.

- No waiting to preheat. - Heats more evenly than any other toaster oven I've ever used. - Heats food quickly. Combined with no need to preheat, food is heated much quicker than a normal toaster over.

- Temp settings are a bit odd, not even 25 or 50 degree increments, but they're easy to live with. - Some might say that it's a bit small inside, but it's big enough for everything we do with it. It will hold four normal (square) slices of bread. - Can get hot on the outside.
While it works great as a toaster, the first time I tried to use the oven feature I realized it's geared to celcius temps. Standard US cooking temps of 350, 375 and 400, for example are not avilable. Instead you get 355 and 395 so cooking is going to involve a lot of guesswork for the timer.
The big complaint that I've always had with toaster ovens is toast. Until now, it has always been slow and inconsistent. Not anymore. This thing rocks. Way faster than our last 2 as well. Very pleased.
Most toaster ovens make O.K. toast slowly. This one makes great toast fast. It's also good for frozen hash browns, french frys etc. It does a credible job on baking frozen pizza and baking potatoes and other small things as well. For me it is the perfect size for a space challenged kitchen.

It doesnt make me dinner...err wait
Very user friendly: good interior lighting, consistent heat, buttons are responsive, and bell that rings when toasting is done is short and at a good tone. Small footprint is great for limited counter space. I'll buy another if/when this one breaks down.
