Philips Viva Collection Air Fryer

You don't need to pay this much for crispy french fries at home.

We have never had an air fryer. We are going through the process of seeing what it can really do. Frozen french fries are great. No grease, cooked through. Frozen egg rolls are much better air fried. Baking was making them mushy. The last experiment was with Totino's Pizza Rolls.

This is an amazing product. I haven't stopped using since I've gotten it. I've found a ton of tips and recipes online and on YouTube. I use every day, and honestly love it. Naked wings are my current favorite. It works great and I've stopped eating fast food.

Wow! This air fryer, exceeded my expectations. The food that comes out is absolutely delicious. Very moist, never dry.

While I agree it's really easy to clean up, it's very poorly made. Using a heavier gauge of metal for the cooking parts would make a big difference. Sorta like a cheap kids toy - And I cut my hand twice (minor) washing the metal bucket (basket.)

I have cooked up frozen French fries and they are excellent. I use the unit most often for skinless chicken thighs. I dip them in an egg wash & bread in Panko crumbs and they are crisp on the outside, juicy inside. I also love the way my salmon & cod filets come out.

Great Air Fryer, just was to small for what I wanted.

Instant heat, works fine once you waste a bit of food experimenting (e.g., it won't take a fish filet--only two halves of a filet--a thick (front) half and a thin (tail) half--so to fry TWO whole filets you make the two thick halves batch one and the two thin halves batch two--with two mystery fry...

This air fryer is awesome. I have cooked frozen chicken, pot pies, 'roasted' veggies, 'baked' potatoes, reheated french fries, etc. It all comes out great. I have yet to cook something in it that has not worked well yet.

  basket (base) is a little heavy for 'shaking'.

I strive to keep my kitchen uncluttered and functional, filled with tools rather than gadgets. This is a gadget, and one that isn't better than a convection oven. In fact, a convection oven is better, because you can cook larger quantities.

I am still in the learning curve phase but overall I am satisfied with this air fryer. Makes bacon easily and the cleanup of being able to put it in the dishwasher is great. The frozen biscuits were very good.
