The Philips SHP9500 are great for neutral sound. These cans have a very neutral sound profile that reproduces vocals and instruments clearly and accurately. Although they lack low-bass, which is expected from their open-back design, they have a touch of extra warmth and boom to help balance their...

Bulky and not very stable fit.
I own many brands, wired, wireless, etc - these headphones are the best sounding, most consistent, well built - and for less than the competition. I've used them with my computer, an amp, and phone, and they impress in all conditions.
I would definitely recommend this product if noise cancelling isn't much of a factor to you but comfort and quality is. These headphones have lasted me for almost three years and don't seem to be giving out anytime soon.

Best budget headphones! More people need to know about the SHP9500's. The ( Build, Fit and Finish ) of these headphones are simply outstanding at this price range. Very well designed, engineered and the materials used are of top quality.
Not much to say really. Excellent sounding cans. Great headband up top. Very large ear cups with just the right amount of clamp force make these the most comfortable headphones I've ever used. The only downside really is that the overall visual design could've been a little more streamlined.

very comfortable, excellent sound
If you can pick these up on a sale, they are worth it. I'd even go as far as suggesting buying these even if they are outside your budgeted price.

Sounds clean glasses don't squished by clamping comfortable

headphone wire is comes with is garbage, it'll do a pinch, but is of lower quality. base isn't super loud, but a better DAC fixes that.
I spent two months looking at different open headphones and reading reviews. I had grown tired of the artificially boosted bass of the recent closed back offerings in the mid to high price range.
They are fantastic. I love their sound. I bought them more than one year and I can say the sound is amazing!
Only headphones I have to compare these to are the Status Audio CB-1's, and these win in every department, other than removable pads. They feel weightless, can't be bothered by them. I can almost fit my entire fist in the pads!

-Build quality (metal!) -Sound stage -Comfort -Detachable cable -Looks (subjective)
-
-
-Non removable pads -So big they tend to slid off my head a bit on the smallest adjustment setting, but that's my personal experience
I was able to improve my experience with these headphones by using a software-based equalizer to lower the volume of the higher frequencies. The clamping force of the headband is focused on the top, rather than the sides, of the head. The open design of these headphones means that there is very little...

good sound accuracy, responsive, wide soundstage, detachable cable, manageable cable length, cushioned headband, easily adjustable headband, ear cup position can be adjusted for comfort, reasonable weight
-
-
excessive audio sharpness can be harsh, bass and vocals can be weak without an equalizer, ear cups shift a bit due to lack of clamping force
Be aware that these are open headphones, so even moderate sound levels will blast sound across an open area. Not ideal for a quiet office environment or library, for example. However, my understanding is that open headphones provide better sound quality compared to closed headphones, so there is...

This is a nice quality headset for almost any application. I paired this headphone with a microphone and use it for gaming and music. Sound quality is the best I've heard, and the build quality/construction is very impressive. Comfortably is amazing.

The size setting for the headband seems to move with normal use, and requires adjustment throughout the day.
