The $399 Polk Audio Signa S4 Soundbar offers Dolby Atmos and a subwoofer. How does it measure up?
This is a very nice soundbar. We bought a 65" tv that has poor sound so we needed a soundbar just to make dialogue audible. The Signa S4 reproduces dialogue beautifully. Our room is 30' X 45' and the S4 fills it with sound.

Only three settings for Voice Adjust rather than a separate volume setting (Still effective, though)Remote is a bit flimsy but adequate
This is my first sound bar. I am pleasantly surprised. I went for a budget for this first one. Previously I had a full component system, tower speakers surround sound, the works. Needless to say it was too old and way too big for my lifestyle now. This sound bar is fantastic for the money.
The Polk Sign S4 soundbar is the clear winner in overall design, sound, and ease of setup. The Voice Assist feature is amazingly accurate at defining center channel spoken dialogue. The Bluetooth lets anyone effortless stream music from a phone to the soundbar.

None to mention.
It’s been over a year since I purchased this sound bar and I have been blown away by it. I first had a larger sound bar which was more expensive and more powerful but I could never find a happy medium. It was either too quiet or overbearing with boomy bass and sharp highs.
The sound bar and sub system really stepped up our television audio. Television dialog is much clearer and audible at a lower volume level. Movie audio greatly improved. Really like the separate bass control on remote. On/off and volume work through existing cable remote.

I have listened to several soundbars and found all sounded good except for the high treble range. I found too much sibilance (s sounds) in dialog and some music. The Polk Sigma 2 is affordable and sounds more mellow to me, and I can listen to audio for longer periods.
Very nice sounding sound bar, sounds better the more you use it. Dolby Atmos sounds nice but could be more pronounced, but overall worth every penny. Very simple to setup out of the box. But for the price, you can't beat it IMO.

Easy and great sound. You could spend more and not get this nice of sound

No Bluetooth, not expandable, subwoofer bass is there but could use a boost, but glad it has a one in this price range.
I'm not sure I have anything substantive to add to the 20k+ reviews that have already been made. This is a great sound bar with excellent sound quality at the price that provides a massive improvement over the sound capabilities built into literally any TV.
This sound bar works great. My wife and I have a hard time hearing the dialog when watching tv. We are both in our 70s. This sound bar makes it so much easer to listen to the dialog. The only thing that I didn't see in the instructions was how to get the sound bar tower on a Vizio.
I had the Signa S2, and it was not very good at projecting dialogue as there was no center channel. Swapped out the S2 with the S4 and it sounds much clearer. There is also the additional benefit of the upward Atmos speakers, which give music a greater soundstage.
