Razer BlackWidow Chroma Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Overwatch Edition)

The Razer BlackWidow Chroma (Origin PC Edition) is the most tricked-out keyboard in Razer's lineup, with a full numpad, macro keys and extensive lighting and software options. The company's own Green switches are on board, but the stabilizers flanking the larger keys can be problematic.

The first time I took a look at the 2014 Blackwidow Ultimate I was happy with the board so it’s not really a shock that I would like what they did with the Chroma. Just like the original, the Chroma isn’t perfect.

Razer’s keyboards and mice have for quite some time been a very viable choice for players seeking a premium experience from their peripherals, and with the Blackwidow Chroma keyboard, it’s all too easy to see why this is so.

treat these with care.. if you eat at your desk like me please remove keyboard from area along with your mouse before doing so.. I doubt the fancier keyboards like these can take the punishment of water/food :)

My favorite keyboard I've ever owned! I love the color changing feature and how the lights can be adjustable to be dimmer or brighter. I've had no problems with it so far and it's been about a month or two. The sleep feature on the keyboard is also nice and very useful.

Even though I give this 4 eggs, I would not recommend at this price point. Especially for what it's selling at now (time of this review 225+). If I could go back and purchase a Corsair K70 or something, I probably would.

Love the color changes. I have two other blackwidows with mx brown and mx blue switches. The green switch is somewhat between both of those. I still love the feedback that I get from pressing each key.

Overall it's an okay keyboard especially if you game in the dark all of the time, in which case this keyboard will be great for you. But if you eat a lot while gaming then I do not recommend this keyboard.

  Types very well RGB lights are very good and can get from very dim to very bright you can practically put on a light show with them. Had for well over a year and still all keys work perfectly

  This thing collects dust horribly, just 1 week of having it and it looked like i had kept the thing in the worlds dustiest attic for 3 years, okay not that bad but it still had a ton of dust on it.

They say Razer products don't last long but this thing has gone through some serious abuse and prevailed for years now. I was compelled to leave this review. To this day you will be hardpressed to find a brighter RGB LED keyboard!

I'd recommend this keyboard to anyone who likes mechanical keyboards, a great look. This keyboard is one of the more expensive keyboards, but for me it was worth it. Who doesn't really care about the lighting, but more about just the switches and durability, is better supplied with the Razer...

  - The mechnical switches feel great while typing. - Tons of customizable color options with Razer Synapse (You can give every key an individual color, I personally prefer the chroma wave option). - Different brightness options possible. - Very high durability.

  - For me, it wasn't that annoying, but the switches cause very loud clicking, which can annoy most people.

This keyboard is amazing. I've been using it for multiple programs and games and it works great. I haven't used the MACRO's so I can't speak to those, but the interface to select the different patterns is easy, and easy to customize. The keys are solid and feel great.

The Razer Green switches are made to feel like Cherry MX Blues, and they do a very very good job of that. The actuation point is noticeably higher, but honestly I liked it. It's incredibly easy and fun to type on, and you couldn't ask for a better feel.

I've had the Blackwidow ultimate classic since it came out in 2014, and I've loved it dearly this entire time. However, I saw a demo model of the Chroma in stores, and the matte finish drew me in.
