I use this to record the high schools marching band and it works well. I still get crowd noise but the trade off with having the dual input option outweighs the crowd noise.It typically does really well with the 0 and -20 db channels recording in left and right.

For being such a small mic it is incredibly versatile. The features it provides allows the mic to be used in nearly any situation. The only downside is that it does not come with a fuzzy mic guard for the wind but only comes with the standard foam one.

This is a great on-camera, or for computer microphone. The sound is fantastic. Off axis rejection is pretty solid and the on microphone controls really let you fine tune what you are looking to accomplish with your sound.

The Rode VideMic NTG is years away from any of the competition in shotgun mics. It doubles as a USB microphone for video voiceovers and the quality can't be beat. I boycotted road products for a long time and now I'm blown away. The NTG is the best mic I have in my bag.

This mic is a game changer because of its versatility! If rode was attempting to create the one mock to rule them all.... they've done it!this one mic can do anything and everything you need it too, on camera, boom, podcasting, livestreaming.... everything!
