So if you can stomach the high price and are looking for an audible step up, the Shure SE535s sound like nirvana and there’s a lot of the fun in trying to find what’s been hiding in your music.
Really good sound, Removable cables, Good selection of add-ons, Little to no microphonics
Really high price, Not the most comfortable earphones at this price
It amuses me when I come to this section and see these wonderful earphones in 85th place. The only reason this can be is the folks who buy these just enjoy them and don't feel the need to write about them. But then you head into the forums and they are at least one of the most discussed items. Odd.
Mids! Mids! Bottom! Comfort!
Not everyone can have them.
If you polled a group of high-end headphone aficionados to ask which universal-fit in-ear headphones they regarded most highly as performance icons, I’m betting that Shure’s venerable SE530 would appear near the top of the list.
The Shure SE535s are the best earphones Shure have made yet, improving the sound quality and design of the classic Shure SE530s, but you'll have to open your wallet pretty wide to afford them.
Evolution is not like a car wash; it's not some process with a beginning, a middle, and an end. It's messy; it makes mistakes; sometimes it moves in a particular direction; sometimes it just goes in circles refining things. Evolution doesn't really know where it's going until it gets there.
I have many IEM earphone. This is one of the best IEM at this price range. Love it. I wore this on my trip to Hawaii, 15 hours. It fix comfortably, noise isolation perfectly. Sound stage is wide but not like my open back headphone, good enough.
Fix perfectly, sound very neutral.
I've owned Shure ear buds forever. My last one was the SE530, which I thought was pretty good. I've also bought Ultimate Ears 10 Pro earphones, which was great for low ranges but was missing the highs. I just put on the SE535 which arrived today. My music has never sounded better.
