Expectations were high for Sonos Move, the multi-room audio company’s first portable, Bluetooth-compatible speaker. Dangerously high, you could argue: Sonos says its users have been asking for a completely wire-free speaker pretty much from day one, and that’s plenty of time for an outlandish...

Sonos style subtly integrates ruggedization, Sounds great, inside and out, Automatic Trueplay is simple and effective, Long battery life and fast recharging, Replaceable battery is reassuring

Expensive for a Bluetooth speaker, Bluetooth experience lacks some of the Sonos niceties
The Sonos Move is a fantastic portable speaker and a rugged, weatherized component of one of the world’s preeminent multi-room audio systems.

Fantastic audio performance, indoors and out, Automatic Trueplay optimizes audio performance for wherever the speaker is playing, Amazing range while...

Highly directional sound stage (it's wide, but not circular), No support for the aptX or aptX HD Bluetooth codecs, Limited to 16-bit/48kHz resolution
The Sonos Move is a powerful multi-room smart speaker with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control, as well as a durable, battery-powered design you can use anywhere.

Powerful audio with rich bass depth and bright highs. Portable, dust- and water-resistant build. Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control.

Expensive. Heavy. Sculpted, mono sound signature not for everyone.
For the past week or so, I’ve been listening to music on a wireless speaker in my living room, in my kitchen, in my home office, on my patio, and even at the park. While some people might do this with a variety of different speakers, I’ve been using the same speaker in all of those places: Sonos’...

Loud, full sound, Reliable wireless connectivity, Seamlessly integrates with other Sonos products, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant on board, Sounds great indoors or out

Pricey, Some significant setup bugs and headaches, Too big and heavy to travel with, 10-hour battery life is shorter than other Bluetooth speakers
The Sonos Move is a pricey portable, but it sure can power a pool party
-
+
Superb build quality, Integration with Sonos systems, Sounds especially good outdoors, User-replaceable battery

Sonos app doesn’t work over Bluetooth, Big size, big price
The waterproof/dustproof Move is one of the best-sounding and full-featured portables available. It may just be my new favorite speaker.

Sound quality is superb, It's built to last, A portable Sonos speaker is very useful

It's pretty hefty, The cost is significant, Battery life could be better
The Sonos Move is an exceptional speaker that aims its sights high in an attempt to conquer both in and outside the home. AppleInsider jams out to see if lives up to the Sonos name.
At $399, the Sonos Move is definitely expensive for either a Bluetooth speaker or a wireless home smart speaker. But when you consider that it’s both, and that it delivers all-day battery life on a single charge, intelligent adaptive sound to ensure it sounds best wherever you’re using it and the...
Sonos speakers have been known for their ease of use. Now that it's introduced Move, does its versatility complicate that "Sonos experience"? Or does it add to it?
This is a nice speaker but I don't believe it sounds quite as good as I expected. I haven't tried it on Bluetooth yet. It just doesn't have the same clarity of sound that my Play Bar, Beam, Sonos 1 (4) and Play 1 (2) speakers seem to have. It is also a little lacking in bass.

+
Weather-resistant, portable w/bluetooth, easy to charge and seems to have long battery life.
-
-
Doesn't sound quite as good as my other Sonos products.
If you already have a Sonos system, the Move is what you've been waiting for. We use it for entertaining outside and as a filler wherever we are sitting. Good sound quality with Very good bass.

Would be nice to have a little bag with a shoulder strap. It does come with a small bag to keep it clean but challenging to carry with the hand grip with the bag on. Still a 5 star product!
This speaker has replaced an original Play 1 in our kitchen. The sound is even better than the Play 1, but has the added benefit that we can now extend the range of use of our Sonos system due to the battery and bluetooth – so we can now take it into the garden in the summer, or temporarily use it...
