Sony X900F Series 65"-Class HDR UHD Smart LED TV (2018)

  The Sony XBR-X900B series provides the best picture quality of any 4K TV we've tested so far, competing well against the better plasmas. It also pumped out best sound of any TV we've heard, bar none. Its prominent speakers and high-end finish makes a unique luxury TV statement.

  Those speakers: you'll either love 'em or hate 'em. Most people won't love 'em. The X900B is also more expensive than most 65-inch 4K TVs. The high resolution doesn't provide a major boost in image quality, especially with non-4K content. The 3D image suffers from substantial crosstalk.

The Sony X900F is one hell of a good 4K HDR TV with a reasonably high level of value for the price its sells at. We recommend it very much. In terms of value delivered per dollar spent, the X900F is one of Sony’s single best values for 2018.

Sony's X900F 4K TV series is bright, colorful, and stylish. It can put out well over 1,000cd/m 2 when pushed, and it comes packed with features thanks to its Android TV interface. Its black levels are mediocre, however, and light bloom can hurt its effective contrast.

Sony's X900F 4K TV series is among the brightest we've tested, with excellent color and tons of features thanks to Android TV, though some minor issues coupled with a hefty price tag keep it from rising to the top.

The Sony XBR-65X900E combines an excellent LCD display with great sound and robust smart features. The panel ticks a lot of boxes for the price, giving you 4K resolution, HDR support and 120Hz refresh rate.

Incredible picture. Movie theater experience. Can't not watch it.

I'm very happy with my purchase. The picture is amazing. The sound was OK, but the additional of a Klipsch soundbar really completes the package.

Excellent TV for the price. With some tweaking of the settings, the picture is stunning. No need to spend thousands for a good set. Syncing my Bluetooth headphones to the TV comes in handy when I don't want to disturb others.

Great picture, clear, great in well lit room, huge upgrade compared to my plasma tv, sound was great, until I plugged the sound bar in and realized what I had been missing. Can't beat the configuration with the TV, soundbar and back speakers.

I looked at many TVs after all my kids got through college. We did some research to make sure we made a good decision on size too. The Bravia X900E is way better than we had hoped. B and H even shipped it to us in Eastern Washington for less that we could have purchased it for locally.

I was not in the market for a new TV until my LED-powered DLP started developing stuck mirrors. I am quite happy with my choice for a replacement TV.This is a great television for the price. Color is fantastic, and the black level, while not quite to OLED standards, is very good.
