Pop quiz, hot shot. What looks like an action cam, is tough like an action cam, but isn’t actually an action cam? I don’t know either, but that’s kind of the best way to describe the Sony RX0 Mark II.

Flip-up screen makes framing a vlog easier, Good image quality with ability to separate subject from background, Surprisingly good audio quality, Very rugged design

Lack of continuous autofocus makes it hard to shoot quickly, Field of view not nearly as wide as a GoPro, Much more expensive than other action cameras
I have a bad back, which prevents me from carrying around a heavy camera all day. I have been looking for a super light-weight camera that does both great stills and video. With the new Sony DSC-RX0 II, I found it. The adjustable back screen really makes this camera work.
I used it in the ocean and it still works and takes much better photos and video underwater than I expected. The size makes it very portable and easy to take everywhere, but still large enough that it is easy to handle. I recognize customizing button shortcuts to your liking.
Great picture like on regular DSLR ( not fish-eyed frame) Battery,... hmm, batteries ... you need more when shooting more -)
This device is pricy, but the image out of the camera is the same as my A7sii. Low light is not great for clear reasons (its tiny), but with the proper light and slog 2....you tell me which image is from this or my A7iii...you cant!
Packs a lot of features for the size.
Overall it was excellent, except it is without continuous focus. Please, you must add the continuous focus when shooting video, otherwise, my videos are out of focus alot!
Over all features are great, This camera could be the perfect rugged pocket camera/action camera if it has an internal zoom lens , maybe a 24-35 mm lens or a 24-50 mm lens , where you can take portraits, snapshots and landscape where ever you go.
I am a pro still photographer/cinematographer with a lot of high end Sony cinema gear. Ive purchased just about every Sony POV camera that they have released and one has been better than the next.
While the first RX0 was revolutionary, there were still many limitations that made it a tough sell for many hobbyist photographers. In order to get the best results, it required a pro set up (external recorder for 4K, as well as an external monitor to actually see what you were recording, and a...
This is a great camera in many respects. The image quality is fantastic for its size and the camera seems robust. Yet I'm also returning it, because it can't continuously autofocus during video. This key feature renders it much less usable than it would be otherwise.
