Though its price is tough to swallow, the Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V is Sony's most advanced pocket camera yet.

1-inch image sensor. Wide-aperture zoom lens. Strong low-light performance. Quick autofocus. 24fps burst shooting. Raw shooting support. Customizable controls. Tilting LCD. Pop-up OLED EVF. Wi-Fi with NFC. Super slow-motion HD video. 4K recording.

Very expensive. Competing models have longer zoom lenses. Omits hot shoe. Lacks touch screen. Long times to clear buffer and render HFR video.
The RX100 Mark V gives you this in addition to the 4k video, 1/32000 anti-distortion shutter and ultra slow motion HFR modes which made their debut on the previous Mark IV, although now you can film for twice as long in HFR at 240, 480 or 960fps making it much more practical to capture the decisive...

Pocket body with good quality 1in sensor., Bright 24-70mm f1.8-2.8 lens range with ND filter., Great quality viewfinder which folds into body., 4k video and fantastic slow motion modes from 4 to 40x., Confident photo and movie focusing with embedded phase-detect.

No touch-screen. No grip to speak of., Too many button presses to reposition AF area., Limited control over autofocus in movies., No GPS logging in smartphone app., Duplicate menus for downloaded apps., 4k video clips limited to five minutes., High price compared to rival 1in compacts.
The Sony RX100 V builds on a camera that was already class-leading in many respects and crams 24fps burst shooting, oversampled 4K video and a 315-point autofocus system into this new pocket-sized companion.
We were at Sony’s press conference yesterday to unveil the blazing fast RX100 V compact camera and afterwards we got a chance to try out with this speedy little ♥♥♥♥♥♥. The biggest headline about the Sony RX100 V is that can shoot at 24 frames per second, which is the world’s fastest continuous...
There is absolutely no question that this is the finest miniaturized photo- and video-taking machine that you can currently purchase. It is worth every penny of its asking price (and then some).
There are so much you can do with this little camera but it carries a steep learning curve if you want to get the most out of this camera. The cumbersome menus don't help. The quality of the image is great though in auto modes. Solid built!

Small size, fast focus, and crazy burst speed.

No touch screen, Menu is too complex to use, short battery life. None of it is a deal breaker tho.
